So don't take a 2nd rd prospect with the 11th pick but you said we should do just that. Weeden and Ponder were wasted picks. why would we want to do that? Draft a guy who is at best the 5th best Qb in the draft with the 11th pick is moronic!

I'm not advocating taking him at 11, I said if that's our guy you'll have to. Every year QB are being drafted higher then they should. You are naïve if you think we have a chance at a QB in the 2nd round.

There's possibilities to take a QB in rd 2. Mettenberger with upside comparable to bortles (minus movement, but as Brady has proven... You can be a statue)

Murray... Wouldn't be happy to take an undersized prospect with limited ceiling in rd 2... Doubt anyone else does.

This kid... Has a mediocre arm. Some teams considering scheme fit will instantly move away from him.

Johnny probably goes mid to late first... Could just as easily slip.

If this guy had played for a bigger school he would probably be considered a 1st Rd pick. I think he will be better than Bridgewater, Manziel and Bortles.

You know... Scouts are pretty damn good at this guessing game.

Outside of Wilson and Brady... SB winning champion QBs that weren't drafted in the first round just don't really happen... That really says something.

To magically think they are just completely that far off base is absurd.

If that is "our guy" our management needs to find a different occupation. Luke
Smartwater has almost as much a chance of being a star QB in the nfl.

Honestly other than Romo how many top 16 nfl Qbs are from small school like that? I can't think of one.

Of course because so many division 2 QBs are tearing it up in the nfl.

Luke Smartwater is the best Qb prospect in this draft! A lightning release and the girls really dig him!

Same here. The thing with Garoppolo thats tough for us is either Jacksonville or Houston will go defense in the first round.Out of both Jax and Houston the one that doesn't go defense in the first will be picking a QB at the top of round two meaning by the time we pick Garoppolo will be gone. The only way i see us being able to get Garoppolo is either picking him at 11 in the first round or trading back into the last of the first round and grabbing him before either Jax or Houston scoops him up in the top of the second round.

Not a draft expert by any means, but do we have enough picks to trade back into 1st? We don't have a 3rd and I don't see us giving up the 2nd....use next year's picks?
I'd like to see Cleveland take Watkins at 4 and then trade to 11 to get Carr, they have extra 2nd and 3rd round picks. We could take Jimmy G at 26 and pick up a 2nd or 3rd.
