    Plugs into a TV then offers many of the streaming widgets and computer mirroring IE you can play a Youtube etc vid on your phone and it also plays at max rez on your TV..

    It's a streaming stick, essentially. I have Chromecast and I use it to stream stuff from my phone (youtube, netflix..etc) to my TV (which is where the Chromecast is plugged into via HDMI). I also use it to mirror my laptop to the TV, which is awesome when you want to watch something on your laptop, but on a bigger screen. It's well worth the $35.

    So can it stream anything or specific stuff like youtube, netflix etc?
    Are there any downfalls to it? Lag for example?

    There are specific apps that Chromecast works with. However if you mirror your computer with it, you can do almost anything. I haven't experienced any lag. I streamed Skyfall on Netflix from my phone last night, and it was flawless.

    The only problem with Chromecast is that it does not work in conjunction with hotel sign-in wifis/suite TVs.
    Imagine being able to bring all your home entertainment screens with you when traveling (on the hotel TV - rather than on your tablet etc.).
    They NEED to get that part sorted out sooner than later..
