ESPN's Ron Jaworski changing tune about this Quarterback

I managed to catch Manziel's pro-day. He was very impressive, and I would be thrilled to have him. Hell, I'd consider trading up for him.

 

Like I have said all along there is no way I would pass on him if he's there at #11.

I don't have a definite stance on whether or not he will be successful in the NFL, but the talent is too good to pass on.

I watched a little bit of his pro day and the mechanics are an issue, but there is no doubt he is incredibly accurate and has a strong arm.

The question will be can he remain in the pocket for the majority of the time? And will he be able to read defenses?

 

I just want A QB in the first two rounds. I'm to the point that I won't be upset with any QB taken. Just want something new, with this fresh start.

 

I personally still dont see how he gets away with stuff like this in the pros, kids a sitting duck IMO

 

That was college. He can't do that in the NFL often. I'm sure he knows this. He will definitely still be elusive and roll out plenty throughout games, but the wild escapes like that are over for the most part.

 

Ok take away the wild card factor and whats left? A short QB who hangs balls out to dry.

 

I watched some youtube highlights of this guy. I think he looks promising. I don't put too much stock in what the talking heads say. Didn't they all say vy would be a stand out in the nfl?

 

Manziel sucks.

The sooner you children realize that, the better.

I can't take anyone seriously that truly thinks he wont bust in the NFL.

 

His mechanic's improved for his pro day huh? Kinda the same as with Tim Tebow. BUT in games Tebow reverted back to his old throwing motion:



So while it is lovely that Manziel can alter his throwing motion for his pro day I would not expect it to last.
