I think Carr is better suited to a more balanced nfl offense than the spread he played in at Fresno St.

50% of his passes were in minimum protection and he had at best a mediocre offensive line that was over matched against big teams like Oregon, USC and even Boise. The ball had to come out super fast all the time.

They screened too much which hardly takes advantage of a strong armed QB and they had almost no power running game. His WRs were mostly dink and dunk type guys and catch and run guys, Davante Adams being the exception.

Give him real time with Wrs who can get down field and he can take more advantage of his arm with deep outs and post patterns.

In the system he played in he learned to get the ball out and make quick decisions and he is good at running screens but he is best suited to a down field passing attack.

A more balanced Erhardt-Perkins system that Whiz runs perhaps with some air Coryell influences would serve him well.

Carr throws off his back foot way to much for my liking. Maybe this is because of the poor oline play or maybe it is similar to Cutler who likes to show off his cannon of an arm. But his foot work needs some work. Nice thing is that foot work is something that can be improved upon. I don't have a great feel for his pocket awareness since he played from the shotgun so much.

was Rivers in the shotgun mostly? Ben was i think. Carr might be the guy this draft, but i'd trade back for sure.

Bridgewater supposedly had a disappointing pro day today so he could slip. It's going to be interesting to see how the other QBs do on their pro day. Bortles is this Wednesday and manziel is 3/27 I believe.

Draft countdown has an interesting take on the so called big 3. They rank Bridgewater 4th on their top 32 rankings but the next highest QB is Bortles at 30 and Manziel at 32. Knock back bridgewater about 12 spots i i would say they got it right. Carr at 33 maybe and Mccarron at 40.

All the top 5-6 Qb prospects have faults and in a draft that is this deep none of the Qbs should be in the top 10. The so called big 3 are overrated and Carr and Mccarron are both under appreciated a bit.

They do appreciate Tuitt and Hageman the way i do but it is doubtful we draft a big linemen after our 2 signings.

Why is he a better prospect than Geno Smith last year? About the same size, same arm strength from the same city, Miami. Similar college game. Geno runs faster.

Bridgewater missed 10% of his passes yesterday with no defense.

Mccarron who won the Maxwell and Johnny Unitas awards threw better in his workouts and he is considered a mid round pug. Why?

I really hope Whiz is not allowed to pick who we draft at QB. His QB selections so far have been horrible.

Trade down in the second to pick up a 3rd and get Garropolo, Murray, maybe McCarron with either a late 2nd or 3rd round pick.
