Don't you guys feel like we should be making a bigger push to land another CB in free agency?

We lost our best DB and everyone shockingly seems content to rely on a bunch of unproven young guys in a trial by fire. Could pay off, could blow up in our face.

Seems one of our issues has been getting lockdown CBs and retaining them and instead going with a carousel of guys who are alright.

I think we should make a move on Cromartie or Rodgers-Cromartie (why not both get one cromartie jersey, represent two players/help jersey sales)....Or is our bigger issue lack of pass rush making it hard on secondary?

We didn't lose our best CB, that is McCourty.
We spent a high 3rd round pick on BWW last draft. He should develop nicely.
Sensabaugh is also coming along nicely.

That's a solid trio of outside CBs and a nickleback. We have more pressing needs like OT, RB, QB, DT, DE, and OLB to draft a DB high.

We find CBs like they're crackheads in the projects. Verner, Finnegan, McCourtey. We even got a productive season out of Reynaldo Hill.

BWW and Sensabaugh deserve a shot to compete.

Coty stays in his spot, NB is a starting role on defense (I don't care what anybody says). He's also been really good there.

I think Blidi will win the #2 spot. We'll see how intense the competition is with him and Tommie (under someone not named Jerry), but I also have faith in our CBs.

I watched Coty a lot, I also remember watching Vern/Finny as NBs, while he is good, I personally don't think he's as good as two before him. I'm not sure he can start on the outside.

I'm not overly worried. I believe that corners are only as good as the scheme you run. Never been big on free agent corners.

As I've said all along... Improve the pass rush and our secondary will be better off even without Verner.

Why do you think our secondary was so good in 2008 and sucked after that? No Fat Al wreaking havoc.

Pass rush and the type of player in the scheme. Why do you think it is so common to see a top corner fall off when they go to a new team?

Guys like Champ and Revis are the exception. I kind of want to see Sherman go to a different team to see how he does.

Why was Mccourty the one I was always seeing roasted last season?

Fat Al didn't wreak havoc anywhere after 08 except maybe at McDonalds.

We will add a vet for near the vet minimum after the draft because we need another guy with experience to be able to help out if McCourty gets hurt.

Also BPA could be CB in one of the early rnds as well.
