Holy **** I can't believe he's on the market now. He's EXACTLY what our D-line needs. Better keep an extra pair of underwear with me for the next couple of days in case we do actually sign him.

 

A pretty major one, Achilles. Most do not come back at the same level from that injury. He is 33 and weighs well over 300 lbs. Dudes best is way behind him.

 

The injury happened in October, according to most doctors thats only a 3 month healing process. Sure theres the possibility that the healed tendon will not be as strong as before the injury, and theres a chnce of decreased range of motion, but this guy is a premier NT. Its worth the risk, Sammie Hill isn't near the player Wilfork was or still is.

Would love to have him, but I can't imagine he has much left in the tank. 2 year deal, at best, I guess.

 

I agree and would love to have him, but this is one of those situations where he is going to get A. a lot of money and B. go to a contender. We wont do either for a 33 year 350 lb NT. Not in our DNA. Kinda like Demarcus Ware did.

 

Well if you want to be afraid to sign a guy who just last year before the injury was a dominate force, so be it, I want him!

 

He could be a very nice filler until we acquire our next NT in the draft or FA.

 

No he wasn't. He finished the two previous seasons with the Vikings on IR and unsurprisingly finished his only season here on IR. That guy was beyond done when we signed him.
