In reality I'm not sold on this draft class outside teddy. All the others scare me.

Just in terms of QBs or the draft altogether?

If Carr is available at #11 and we're seriously interested, I believe we can/should trade back.

Nobody would look for QB after us except MAYBE NYJ 18 & ARZ 20.. then CLE at 26. We could trade back to 17 (BAL who trades up for a WR) and pickup potentially a 2nd.

#17 - Derek Carr, QB, Fresno St
#42 - Stephon Tuitt, DE, Notre Dame
#48 - Kyle Van Noy, OLB, BYU
#108 - Terrance West, RB, Towson (or any other RB)
#139 - Justin Ellis, NT, Louisiana Tech
#170 - Seantrel Henderson, OT, Miami
#205 - Max Bullough, MLB, Mich St

Package that draft with releasing CJ2K, Stevens, & Stewart.
Reworking deals of Wimbley & Griffin.
Sign FAs: Karlos Dansby, Austin Howard, Michael Hoomanwanui, & vet CB.

With the cuts we can afford to spend some money. Reinvest CJs money into multiple FAs. Reworking Wimbley/Griffins cap hits will allow even more money to exchange hands. Dansby will cost the most, followed by Howard, but neither will be record breaking deals. Hoomanwanui replaces Stevens at half the cost. Howard is a day 1 starter at RT.

I wouldn't LOVE taking Carr in the 1st, wouldn't ***** about it either.

While I would say that is a great thought... I'm on the side that says if you believe that the QB on the board is your guy... You accept the price and take him as soon as possible. Playing roulette with him can create some real crazy.

I'm really curious how the current staff see the fits that we have on the defense as it is... We have an over supplement of possible talents to fit in different roles... I'm not sure we go crazy defense in this draft. I could easily see them trying to find the QB/RB duo for the future.

The main area we need to hit on is ILB/NT If they are going to play some 34, we are going to have to play some guys out of positions regardless.

Morgan, brown, ayers, Casey, Pito, Wimbley, Martin, Klug, last years rookie who's name I can't think of...

Casey HAS to be a DE in a 34.
Morgan could be either an OLB? or a best bet DE.
    Pito DE
    Klug DE
    Martin NT/DE
    Ayers OLB (maybe ILB?)
    Brown OLB
Wimbley OLB (maybe ILB? Who knows)
    Last years rook... OLB?

I think the best thing about these QBs, is that there is not real unwarranted hype around them. All their flaws are out there and talked about. For some reason those types of guys seem to do better in the NFL.

I still stand by my theory, that as long as you draft a guy that has talent. If you put him in the right system he will be fine, majority of the time. Locker being the exception because he is injury prone.
