I meant that i dont want to pay for Hester, basically. One of the draft picks, Mariani, or someone cheaper than Hester would be will be the returner next season.

Washington signed for cheap last season, no reason to believe he won't come back on a comparable deal. He also didn't give me any reasons to replace him last season. If anything he showed me he has way more left than I initially thought, dude almost took one in for a TD.

Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Not that TD's are the end all be all stat like some want to say they are such as sacks for a DE but he's 31 and not getting any younger and contributes nothing at RB.

Dri Archer would be an awesome addition in the late rounds to be a Danny Woodhead type guy and KR/PR. Plus he would be cheaper. His slight build is a concern but I'd take the risk cause he's dynamic.

Also I don't get the Mariani crush hasn't played in almost two years and wasn't exactly fast to begin with. I wouldn't be against him getting a shot but I'm not putting all my eggs in that basket.

    1. Mariani played two full seasons.

    2. I still don't get the hate for Mariani. Before he came, tell me the last time we had a punt or kick return for a TD.

2006 with Pacman, I'd guess. Then all the sudden Mariani comes along, makes the Pro Bowl and returns three kicks/punts for TDs in two seasons... keep in mind he also had some other great returns to give us good field position. To think people wanted to keep Reynaud and cut Mariani was comical. It's racism. Only explanation.

Mariani had a freak injury. Could've happened to anyone. Bad luck is all.

My favorite Reynaud memory is when they went to him during a critical third down at wide receiver and it bounced off his chest.

    That was special.

It has to be the safety at Pissburgh.

When you begin your season with a safety, you know it's gonna be a sh*tty ride. That's never happened before. Never. I wanted him benched and released immediately after that game. I wanted him cut before the season began, but unfortunately I don't call the shots.

Just like you knew the Broncos were ****ed the second that ball went over Peyton's head. I knew they were ****ed before the game started though.

When it comes to the return game almost DOES count because if a guy almost scored a TD your offense now has amazing field position which is a returner's #1 job. A TD is just icing on the cake. I 100% agree with you on your other two points. Archer is my official man-crush of 2014 and I really don't get all the fawning over Mariani.

One of the most overrated players of the past decade.

Constantly hurt and couldn't cover anyone.

But he made a few cool hits and made sportscenter... so he was a God to most fans.

Bob Sanders wasn't bad. But... The Colt D did seem MUCH better when he was in there.

He is at the end of his career. I am good with the league minimum. Why spend more than "Leon" with FA $ when we have other needs?
