I went back like the last ten years and couldn't find anyone Ford's size drafted in the first round who was successful. There were three guys(I think) that were drafted at his size: Aaron Maybin, Jerry Hughes and Bruce Irvin. I guess it's too early to call on Irvin, but the other two were busts no doubt.

Short, small and >33" arms is overcoming just about every negative there is for a defensive lineman.

    Mike Evans is overrated.

Jake Matthews: I don't trust LT with short arms.
Teddy Bridgewater: Efficient, but nothing special.
Mike Evans: Poor get off, average route runner. Plays like small TE.
    Dee Ford: See Brandon Graham.
Ha'Sean Clinton Dix*: I will admit, I can't entirely see FS as well as other positions, unless I have all 22 film. That being said, I rarely saw him making big plays. If you remember, players like Vaccaro, Berry, or Thomas were always making big plays. I can't group him with those guys.

If you notice, most players on my board have medical concerns. I tend to downplay that part more than others, but to each his own.

Admittedly I am basing a lot of my faith in Ford off of what I saw in the Senior Bowl game.

I said Melvin Ingram would bust as well because he wasn't tall enough and his arms were too short. The verdict is still out on him, but I'm far more impressed with Ford than I was with Ingram.

I don't know why people say that about Bruce Irvin. He had 8 sacks and 19 qb hits as a rookie, then the Seahawks signed Bennett and Avril and moved him to OLB and he got suspended the first 4 games. People spoke highly of his versatility at OLB.

With that said, Irvin said that he couldn't cut it at DE at that size and moving him to OLB saved his career.

At that kind of size, you need to be able to be a sideline to sideline linebacker.

You mean when he was offsides and it wasn't called and then when Logan Thomas held onto the ball forever? Yeah, it was a wonderful showing...

Didn't see that. Did that happen just once?... Ford was disruptive every play.

He was definitely offsides on his first sack. Was called offsides later in the game. The sack on Logan Thomas, I mean, Thomas rolled all the way right then went back left directly into Ford.

The batted ball he was totally unblocked. Good discipline, but you should make that play every time, especially when things are as vanilla as there in the Senior Bowl.
