Most of us haven't thought about taking a CB early in the draft because in our minds we still have Verner. The Titans may very well resign Verner and the need for a CB would be really low. But if Verner signs elsewhere, I think CB goes to the top of the board of our team needs. I like Sensabaugh in the slot, so I wouldn't move him and I haven't seen enough of Wreh-Wilson to be comfortable with him starting opposite McCourty.

So that's why I'm calling it now, Darqueze Dennard could be a sleeper pick for us at 11. I got the chance to watch him several times this past year and the dude can play. He's my favorite CB to come out since Patrick Peterson. Just watch this video. Whenever the ball goes to his side and it's in the air, he is always RIGHT there on the WR. He has great hands and plays with an attitude/swagger that I think this defense needs.

What do you guys think of him?

This kid is almost Verner himself, the switch would almost go unnoticed. Similar build, similar speed, similar style with the hands. The one difference I see is in the tackling. Dennard tackles with his head down, so it costs him some tackles. But in coverage, he's almost the same guy Verner is.

I also dont think he's a top 11 player, but we could do a lot worse. I do not like the idea of Wreh-Wilson having to play opposite McCourty, feels like 2009 all over again.

I hope we just keep Verner.

I don't want this guy at 11, even if Verner does not return. Not sold on Wreh-Wilson but we have a solid corner in McCourty, and I think Sensabaugh will play the nickel good. If we build on our d-line and linebackers in the draft/fa then they could hide a weak secondary and I think with Verner gone our secondary is still above average or average at best.

Assuming Pollard is back or we sign T.J Ward and Griff plays like he did last year.

Is George Wilson still under contract with us or was it a 1 year deal?

Yes he's still here. And I believe he's a top 10 paid safety.

Let me start by saying, I hope we keep Verner.

Then let me follow up by saying, i'm a big believer that an elite front seven can make any secondary look good.

Then let me follow up again by saying, I believe Coty Sensabaugh has starter level skill.

    I'm against a CB @ #11. I wouldn't be mad at a 2nd/4th round CB, but not at #11.

Build from the front back. I don't place much value on CB/S in the draft UNLESS you have a set front 7. It is more of a luxury pick that high when everything else is in place.

Cover corners mean nothing without a good front 7.

Give a QB time and they will destroy any corner... even Sherman.

Sherman is hands down the best in the game, but put him on the Titans and he wouldn't be considered nearly as good. The pressure we have put on QBs has been absolute poop since 2008.

Yout just spinning your wheels to lose a good CB and then have to use an 11th pick to replace him. We used a high 3rd to get Wilson last year we need to expect him to start. If they are not confident in Wilson then resign Verner.

If we are going to consider a DB at 11 it should be Dix who looks like another Earl Thomas. A great safety affects the whole defense.
