Our dear friend Paul for a change has something nice to say, and its about former Titan Eddie George.

Sounds familiar, we see dozens of guys leave the game and have trouble adapting. It doesn't get much talk, but depression is huge in freshly retired athletes.

The interview continues to illustrate George's struggles after football.

humans are meant to work.. or at the very least, find something of value to do with their lives.

Everybody has pipe dreams of quitting work and doing nothing.. But it's a really unfulfilling way to exist. Relaxation is good in moderate doses.. but when you have nothing to do, it gets old very quickly.

I can't even sit around the house for one weekend without getting cabin fever.

When you become worthless.. you start to feel that way. I'll probably never fully retire until I'm nearly dead.

I can't even begin to fathom what it would be like to be retired in my early 30s, and have very little obligations. You've got 50 years or so to spend.. WTF do you do with yourself?

I do not like my job. Not very much at all.. But I am probably happier doing this, or most other jobs, and feel better at the end of the day, as opposed to sitting around all day.

Eddie needs to find a job.

Congrats to Eddie George making the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame. The same night he played Othello in a play in Nashville

Maybe that is why so many retired NFL players die young

could definitely be a part. plus the physical abuse they put their bodies and brains through certainly don't help the issue.
