Anyways, I dont care that he was hurt, 99% of football players play hurt. This isnt even an excuse to me, its just another Monday in January.

OKay...So he runs for 1200...lol...jk...Listen, it's not a bash fest on CJ, at least not from me. I know that he has been durable, and I also know that he hasn't had a polished line. That being said, I do know that not every back has a sick offensive line...I also know that he is a speed back that is getting older, expensive, with average production (fair or not), who doesn't sound thrilled to be in Tennessee. With all of the issues this team has, it's worth saving that pay and grooming someone younger while building back up and addressing needs. One guy doesn't carry a whole team, otherwise, we would have been winning the past 3 years..Right?

Cutting him benefits us in no way. All that does is create another gigantic hole.

How so? He had more yards from scrimmage and more td's?

I just don't want this surgery to become an asterisk on why we decide to keep him. I believe for this team to move forward, we need to let him go.

I like CJ and wouldn't mind seeing Whisenhunt try to use him (especially if we aren't going to be able to markedly improve the team with the money that is freed up), but Gore had more yards, better ypc, and more touchdowns. CJ did have more catches. He did a nice job catching the ball, imo.

lol @ the posts in this thread. Regardless of what CJ is worth, or how good he could be with the new system, it's probably best the team cuts CJ. Not because he sucks, but because the fans don't support him. I wonder who will be next if we don't win next year? If CJ's gone, who will get the blame? It's usually our best player. Maybe Wright? Whoever is scoring the most will get blamed for not going into Michael Jordon mode and carrying the team to wins over better teams by themselves. That's what Titans fans do. We ignore the players who suck and blame the ones who actually score TD's for not doing so 4-5 times every week.

Cutting him gives us money that we otherwise wont have. Cutting him allows anyone with a pulse to go back there and possibly help our team. Chris Johjnson's style does not work. Hasn't worked in about 3 years. He's a RB that needs to be pushed, he's not a self motivator.

And back to this "injury" we're now learning of. Why did his best games come after the injury? This injury is Bull. It should have no impact on his return. If Whisenhunt thinks he can use C.J. ok, otherwise cut this guy so we can move forward.

True. CJ was our most explosive receiver this past season. Why we didn't get him the ball on screens more often is beyond me. The results when we did were very impressive. Loggains was just butt.

No thats not how we operate. how Titan fans here work is; we blame whoever can't carry their own weight, and for 3 years he hasn't lived up to his end of the bargain.
