    No.

Most of their young, great players are still under their rookie contracts. They can't hold this team together much longer.

But either way I expect them to be a playoff team year in and year out.
Earl Thomas is going to be a free agent. I'm not even sure they'll be able to afford the franchise tag. He will be the first of their big name players to leave.

I mentioned the possibility of a Niners or Seahawks dynasty soon to come last year. It's possible, but in today's NFL with the salary cap I think it's too hard for that.

I'll say this if I was going to pick a current NFL team to start a dynasty with a good young team like the Seahawks is exactly who i'd choose. I'm sure no one saw that NE dynasty coming.

The way that Wilson plays.. once he loses his ability to run around, he will sink like a rock.

There's no excuse for the running around 20+ yards behind the line of scrimmage, looking for an open receiver. That will bail you out a few times, but that's going to catch up with you eventually. These "electric" plays are risky, and can bury you. I don't think any scrambling QB will be fit for a long-term Brady/manning level career. None besides Steve young, but that was over 20 years ago.

Wilson does look pretty good right now, though. In 5 years.. I have my doubts. He certainly will not be doing this into his mid 30s.

QBs that willfully expose themselves to hits are doomed to a short career 90 percent of the time. I am personally done with the type. I would like long-term consistency from the QB position.

I think Wilson will be great throughout his entire career. He'll adapt.

    I know.

I half way hope the Broncos beat them just so ESPN will climb down off their meat stick.

It's very interesting to me that you look at it this way. I could just as easily argue that the guy is only in his second year as an NFL QB and will only get better and better each year as the game slows down and he sees more of what the league throws at him. He scrambles around to buy time to pass, that strategy has worked very well for semi-mobile QBs in this league. I think Russell Wilson is a huge asset not a liability. Also Wilson isn't a "scrambling QB" he's like Luck and Roesthlisberger in that he only runs when he has to.

Actually, someone mentioned Fran Tarkenton in a different thread a few weeks back. When I was watching Wilson last week, that is exactly what I was reminded of. It should be noted, however, that I really never saw him scramble like that (weave back and forth) when he played at Wisconsin. He usually had more time to pass, and when he didn't he would just run (usually for big gains).

I think people really underestimate Wilson's passing abilities. He has a deceptively good arm IMO. I think he will be around awhile as well, and will evolve his game over time (very smart also).

Regarding dynasties, I am not as sure. In today's league the huge jumps from rookie contract salaries to next level will put a hard bite on any team's payroll. It is going to be tougher to maintain that level of excellence year in and year out. New England is an exception, but I am not ready to put Pete Carroll in Belicheat's class yet.
