I am positive the majority of off season talk will be about what the Titans do at QB. So I decided to start what should be a long discussion. Basically it comes down to 3 options but no matter what, they all include Locker staying around.

Option A: Draft a QB. Probably the most logically and most likely rather it be in the 1st or lower rounds. A new young QB will almost surely be on the team from the Draft. But do we try to find the best player who can start next season or someone who might need a year?

Option B: Sign QB in Free Agency. Always an option in the NFL as each year teams have QBs that are no longer needed. Michael Vick anyone? Compared to past years though, there doesnt seem to be that many out there worth signing. Maybe if Kirk Cousins goes up for grabs

Option C: Keep what we have in Locker & Fitz. LOL, I know I know probably so crazy to even read right now. But I had to put it as an option because well, COULD happen. I mean if Locker gets in front of Whiz and the magic happens or whatever. Whiz might decide there is no need to spend extra money on a vet we truly dont need or waste a high draft on someone who isnt needed to play yet. Honestly, there is about a 1% chance of that happening.

think about this team is close to being good with locker, shoot even with fitz lol now I definitely want a upgrade at back up over fitz. why waste our first rounder on something we probably already have....now I know his injuries blah blah blah but I think locker finally gonna show it all this year, and we can get a de or something we need at 11

I would be fine with Locker being the guy, actually prefer it. We have to get a backup who will take care of the ball if Locker goes down again,be it through free agency or draft. Locker goes down again, QB class for next year has a few guys that could be interesting.

WELL since we have all new systems , both offense and defense ...

I think we have holes to fill , can we afford to TAKE A PICK ON A QB ? IN RND 1

The past few drafts the 1st rnd picks that were on a qb have not panned out to good ..

we would fair just the same taking one later in draft ...

GET BEST PLAYMAKER ON OFF / DEF THEN GET QB LATER ...

Draft a mid round QB, and tell Locker that he will have to prove he is our best option.

If not, roll with the rookie and don't look back. If he is at least as good as Jake, we will be fine. But we have to have an option behind Jake. And I don't mean a washed up vet who might win some games. Get a QB, groom him like he is going to be the guy. If Jake shows you what you want to see, trade the rookie at some point if he is too good to hold on to. If he isn't, we have a back up.

What are the odds it's a combination between 1 and 3. If we draft a Qb do we automatically get rid of Fitz? Can you draft a Qb in the first 3 rounds and justify him being a 3rd string Qb or on the practice squad to start the season?

I am all for rolling the dice and drafting a Qb with his head on his shoulders and the build to be a NFL starter in the later rounds. Gotta be a great bragain if we take him at #11 or in the 2nd round.

I truly believe that IF Hasselbeck would've played under center in 2012 and stay with the team in 2013 with Locker taking the reins, Locker may have elevated his game even more so than just his (magnificent start) for the first four weeks of last season.

Remember, everyone, including sporting analysis and fans alike ALL sung Locker's praises and bellowed when he went down with Fitzpatrick taking his place. Whisenhunt is the absolute "perfect coach" to help elevate Jake Locker, who like Chris Johnson, would not give up just yet.

And IF Locker never would've gotten that CHEAP SHOT by the JETS, had the Titans beaten Jacksonville, Indy (at home & away which was very possible), Arizona in overtime and almost K.C (being up 17-13 into the 4th quarter), we may have been talking about the Titans this month (January 2014) and watching the Titans maybe even playing this weekend instead of talking about re-building with another QB and RB.
