What makes Ken Wisenhunt so great? He rode Kurt Warner, Fitz, and Boldin to success, then Arizona became completely irrelevant since Warner left. Bruce Arians took Wisenhunt's final team from 5-11 to 10-6.

    No thanks.

Jay Gruden as offensive coordinator: Three playoff games, 33 points. And, now, four interviews. What a league...

Virtually all NFL offences are that way. Have you ever heard Brees call a play for the Saints?

He didn't have a quarterback his last couple years. His GM was terrible. They brought in a new GM for Arians and he got them a QB. Whisenhunt had Max Hall and John Skelton, who couldn't even beat out Rusty Smith for 3rd QB of the titans, as his starting QB's.

Of those 5, I'd rank them:
    1. Zimmer
    2. Whisenhunt
    3. Bevell
    4. Gruden
    5. Quinn

I understand the concerns about Zimmer (i.e. his brash personality) but I really think this guy deserves a shot. He's a no nonsense dude who I think the players will respect and play hard for. And I have no doubt there will be accountability with a guy like him (which is a problem many of us had with Munch). On top of all that, aside from Whisenhunt who has been a HC before, Zimmer is the most qualified of the group. He's been coaching in the NFL for 20 years. He's paid his dues. He has the experience we all are craving.

There's really no such thing as a "slam dunk" with any of these guys but he's the closest IMHO.

ok, people who claim that Gruden called a bomb simply don't know what they're talking about. The Bengals had trips to the left and a single right. To the trips side you had 3 underneath routes (quick out, drag and I believe a 5 or 10yard in/dig, something to that effect), the single side receiver ran a go route and the RB ran a swing to the right. Dalton made a terrible read and decision plain and simple, he had plenty of options for a short throw to pick up the first down.

That's my concern with him as well. But he has at least had success as a HC (regardless of the roster) and many times guys are more savvy their second time around. He's not at the top of my list. But I won't be mad if he's the guy.

The only two guys I'd really be disappointed if we hired are Quinn and Gruden (Quinn more so than Gruden). But I'm going to give whoever it is a chance. It's going to be tough for someone to be as inept as Munch.
