He's not going to require $16M a year. I'm thinking more like $10M a year.

That's the going rate for middle of the pack QBs. If he is over priced by the market you take a pass.

I don't see any logic in getting rid of Fitzpatrick his salary is only $2.75M next year. Whether he ends up starting or 3rd string.

His play this year was what you would expect based on his career before he came here. Very few of you objected to the signing of him in the first place so what is the problem? His passing rating is the same that it was with the bills last year.

His only really bad start was the game at Indy.

At the very least you need 3 viable Qbs. We were in a potential pickle had Fitz gone down because we had nobody at all behind him.

Here we go...Romo and the stats game.
I agree, Romo looks fantastic on paper while looking at stats during an entire season. Look up his numbers in December. They suck. Postseason...they suck. Everytime I watch that guy playing in a meaningful game it is like he flips a switch in the 4th quarter and goes from pretty good to terrible. If you want a 11-5 regular season and then one and done in the playoffs, Romo is your QB.

Yes McCown is pondering retirement to be with his family at 34 years old. He is the product of a Qb friendly system, and has a career 16-22 record. Other then this year he has done nothing in the NFL.

We all know Romo story nice on paper but can't finish the big games.

We're not drafting a QB this offseason. We have three quarterbacks. Locker is definitely making the roster. We just gave Tyler Wilson a multiyear deal that probably has guaranteed money. The only one that might not be here is Fitz. If we dumped Fitz to draft a QB, that would place Tyler Wilson as our backup. Do you want Tyler Wilson to backup an injury prone Locker?

I think it's much more plausible that we roll into 2014 with the three we have. The only alternative I see is signing a better vet to replace Fitz. If Locker can't be healthy for 2014, he'll be a free agent and we'll be shopping.

Ok show me the vet QB we can get that has won multiple super bowl;s and totaly dominates in the post season and every month of the year. We can sign him now! Peyton Manning has a boat load of one and dones in the playoffs so he would not qualify.

And as for Romo's numbers in december show them to us you are the one making the point. Don't tell me to look at them what are they?

Do you understand the stupidity of what you said? We are finishing our 2nd worst losing season in a row and 5th without a playoff and 11-5 is not good enough for you?

According to this article Romo has the best passing rating in the league in december games from 2009-2012. But we would not want him because he sucks in december.

We know he brought his team back from 9 points down with 7 minutes left after a bad injury to his back. That would be good enough for me. He has 20 4th quarter comeback wins in his career.

Romo is not going to be released by the Cowboys we know that now and his injury makes a big trade unlikely at draft time. Still would love to see him in a Titan uniform and nobody has made a viable argument against that.

I love the standards some of you have for a vet QB. Anything less than hall of fame credentials with a solid post season record and you don't want them!

Of course you will risk the 10th pick in the draft on a guy who has yet to play an nfl down.

In 2006 we could have signed Drew Brees but used a 3rd pick on Vince Young. How many playoff games has VY won for us? Of course the other most highly coveted vet QB then was Culpepper and he was a total bust so the risk doesn't go away.
