Pre-Game Thread Game 15: Titans @ Jaguars

It's just too bad they don't do it when the games actually matter.

Here are a couple legitimate reasons to complain:
1) It very well could help save Munch's job. You say it will have no bearing on the decision. But that's still just a hunch on your part. It's a lot easier to justify bringing back the HC after a 7-9 season than a 5-11 season, particularly when he only has one year left on his deal. If Munch stays we will continue to suck. One or two meaningless late season wins are not worth another wasted season, or even the increased possibility of it.
2) It hurts our draft position.

#1 concerns me about 500x as much as #2. I'm of the mindset that we will probably blow our pick whether we pick 5th or 10th. So really, I don't care too much. But I can see why others do so I still listed it as a reason. However, it is exciting to have a high pick.

People are just sick of the same old BS year in and year out. If this past decade of Titans football hadn't be so absurdly pathetic I don't think you'd being seeing nearly as many fans "complaining about a win". I know you wouldn't see this kind of mentality among some of the other fan bases. But we Titan fans have no real pride in our team anymore. And, really, why should we?

The current morale problem plaguing the Titan fan base is 100% on the organization, not the fans.

Gambit, Wolverine, Nightcrawler or Cyclops could take him out.

 

To be real all the negativity on this board is actually more depressing than the actual on field performance. Like I feel more depressed reading this board than watching the games. At least when I watch I feel like we have a chance to win, after a few hours on here I feel like we'll never win another game ever lol.

I get it though. I refuse to call people fake fans. The people who are "rooting for us to lose" honestly believe that this is the only way to get Munch out and that with Munch out the team will finally succeed. I disagree with their point of view but it's childish to call them fake fans because ultimately they want what's best for this team and to me that's what all real fans want.

 

Hulk bent Colossus to where he couldn't move, and pounded wolverine so bad he gave him brain damage. The X men ain't as awesome as they used to be, I like other groups, like the Avengers, The mutants have lost their luster, wherein the universe they exist, they have super powers, and are in a world packed with super heroes, why the hell are they still shunned?

Anyhoo, Munch is probably gonna stay because that's the forte of this organization, lackluster performance leads to more lackluster. "We like the guy, so let's let him keep his job, he's trying"

Too much love for the underdog in this state, because apparently 5-11. or 7-9 is better than 2-14.... -_-;

 

Couldn't have said it better myself. I also don't think that we're automatically better by getting rid of Munchak.

 

Hulk is damn near omnipotent too.

But.... Many could take him down.

We're not "automatically better" but getting rid of Munch at least gives us the chance at getting better.

I just cannot understanding the mentality of being content wallowing in mediocrity. Not saying that's you, but there are some fans who that seems to be the case with.

 

Exactly. There are maybe 2 posters here who actually seem to legitimately get a kick out of us losing, just in general. The rest of us are just sick of the same old BS and want to see a change. If that means we have to root for Titan losses than so be it.
