I think hyde is a product of the system they ran and the fact that they didn't play good competition. You rarely see him just barrel through defenders like a 240 lb rb should. He doesn't have near the amount of top end speed as williams. Yes, he has wiggle(precisely what it is), but do u really think that wiggle will work in the nfl?

On the other hand. Andre proved that he has incredible vision to be able to find the open hole. He had to against acc defenses that were keying in on him and only him. He also proved that he can break tackles (in a ferocious way I might add) and that he has the top end speed so when he breaks that initial tackle, he can do something with it.

I don't want another jamie harper or a jonathan dwyer so I'm taking the real beast here.

We can just agree to disagree. Time will tell tho. Hopefully our titans get one or the other. Knowing our luck we won't and both will go on to be studs.

The only other thing we can hope is that ben tate wants to whoop up on the texans twice a year for not letting him start

I'd still like an example of Williams' break away speed. The guy gets chased down regularly.

He runs a 4.4 and you don't get the kind of yardage he has without having break away speed.

We'll be able to see William go head-to-head versus Carey on the 31st in the Independence Bowl. After tonight's snub, I expect to see Carey put up close to 200 on Boston College.

Williams reminds me so much of Donald Brown when he was at Connecticut.. They damn near play identical, even though Brown is a lot faster.

I'll be sure to bump this thread when next season starts.
