Auburn also hasn't played an elite QB like FSU has. And Auburn doesn't have a defense, like, at all.

Like Dee-Dub said, in this game, if FSU can stop Auburn once they'll win it simply because they'll likely be scoring a TD every time they touch the ball.

And don't forget that all Alabama needed to stop Auburn was someone who could kick a FG. Had they had that, they would have won by two scores.

And you may say FSU doesn't have the greatest defense, but I'd say they're a lot better than Mizzou's. Or Georgia's. Or Ole Miss. If they can hold the Cow College to under 60 they'll likely win it.

Well Alabama is arguably the best and and most dominant team in the country.

They caught Auburn on the wrong night. Alabama is a better and more talented team than Auburn.

I'm just giving Malzahn the credit he deserves.

What he is doing with Nick Marshall is 100 times more impressive than what he did with Cam Newton.

In retrospect we all know Cam Newton was a superstar and not just a product of Malzahn's system like many of us assumed he was.

Malzahn's system has further evolved since 2010 and is even more effective. He is doing more with less.

Nick Marshall is an awful QB. Auburn's best QB is on the bench and will probably be ripping the conference up next year.

I won't say Auburn's defense is awful because they have serious talent. Their defensive scheme and coaching is underwhelming but they have athletes and the defensive line is good. Nobody is going to come out and just run past Auburn.

If Ford and company can get to Winston like they did Franklin and Manziel Auburn will be fine.

    Elite QB like Winston?

Who has ran his numbers up against a soft schedule?

Auburn faced Mettenburger, Manziel, McCarron, Franklin and Murray. Come on with that.

I hate to play this card but would Winston have the numbers and would FSU have the record is they went against LSU, Missouri, A&M, Georgia and Alabama?

Rather than Maryland, Nevada, Idaho, NC State and Duke?

    I doubt it.

"But XO!!!! FSU beat a fake ass Miami team and Clemson"

There now you don't have to post it.

I would take Winston over any of those (and I say that as an Alabama fan), and Auburn got beat by Mettenburger.

But then again, maybe Auburn wins the same way they beat A&M: by injuring Winston (Manziel).

Of course, let's also not forget that LSU and Bama are run first teams, and Georgia didn't start airing it out until the 4th quarter when they almost came from behind and beat Auburn (and should have beat Auburn if not for one of the flukiest plays ever). And even then Murray marched Georgia back down the field and ran out of time. The only elite PASSING teams Auburn has played were A&M and Mizzou, I wouldn't say Mizzou is all that elite.

And even then, A&M has the 103rd ranked rushing defense. Mizzou is ranked a bit higher, but they didn't play LSU or Alabama so they never faced a good run game before Auburn.

I would give the edge to Auburn with way more quality wins throughout the season. FSU is a real good team but how good they actually are remains to be seen. This is why any sort of playoff is a good thing for the SEC.. it will make it harder for good teams in a weak conference to walk into a NCG and have a good day against a beat up SEC team.

I would imagine fans of powerhouse schools in weak AQ conferences are quickly going to regret complaining about the BCS bowl system so much.

The best run team FSU faced was BC and FSU gave up 200 on the ground. BC doesn't even run any kind of anything resembling what Auburn does. They just have a good back.

BC was the #25 ranked rushing attack. FSU gave up 200.

Auburn is the #1 Rushing attack by a wide margin. Auburn put up 300 on Alabama. A top 5 defense.

What will they do to FSU?

Winston's D will show up even if you don't want it to.

Winston's D doesn't take no for an answer.

Missouri, A&M and Georgia? Yes. Yes he would.

LSU? Maybe. They weren't great on D this year and Famous played well against a UF secondary that will have three corners drafted in the top three rounds at some point.

    Bama? Probably not.
