    The Tennessean, 11/29/13, David Climer, Columnist-extraordinaire, writes;
    "Titans are right to stand behind Locker". Climer states that Locker is the future QB because of Fitzpatrick. Locker is our future because we have, what he assumes is, a good backup. What? Our future leader is being held in place by a assumingly good backup and we're going to build this franchise, hopefully a winning franchise, on that kind of thinking? Our leader will show us the way, whoever he is!
    Jack, as good as he could be, is an Accident Waiting For A Place To Happen. He's never been healthy, not even in college. His last injury, his foot, he was never touched. He did that on his own. We don't have to draft a starting QB this April, but we better get one ready to take over for Locker ....... or Fitzpatrick ......... or whoever.

    Draft a QB and, between the three of them, start the best one, trade one of the other two.

    Worked out for the Seahawks.

    Fun idea, but makes no practical sense.

    The Seahawks traded Matt Flynn after seeing a full season of Russell Wilson.

    Let's assume the Titans draft Player X and start him in 2014 and he looks great. After the 2014 season, Locker and Fitzpatrick will both be free agents. Neither will have any trade value.

    Makes even more sense.

    Fitzpatrick and Locker are not being paid much. Shouldn't be hard to keep one in that scenario.

    And after the 2014 season, why would it be hard to keep Fitzpatrick? He came here to be a backup anyway. I'm pretty sure he would stay.

    Edit:

    Who cares about trading them. Trade one of them for a sandwich, who cares.

    I just meant get rid of one and keep the other

    If the Titans draft a quarterback with an early pick, it will be the end of Jake Locker in Tennessee. He isn't going to re-sign after 2014 to be a backup. Zero chance.

    Locker played some good games but he is not the answer long term. Time to draft a qb and move on. Locker could be a good backup somewhere and have a decent career as a backup but I do not see him being a starter for anyone to be honest including us

    Any good QBs have a chance to fall to us in the second or third rounds?

    The odds of drafting a franchise QB past rounds 1 and 2 are nearly astronomical.

    If you want a player go get him in round 1 or 2 at the latest.
