I wanna tell you to go F*** yourself but that's just the anger in me after such a horribly disappointing loss added to a horribly disappointing season for us. Honestly, Luck didn't seem to flinch at all last night. He never looked as though yall were gonna lose. It's like he just knew yall would come back and win.

Sadly though, right after halftime I had the same gut feeling. Even though we had the lead, I knew we were gonna lose. As bad as I want to sh!+ talk the colts I can't. We screwed the pooch.

We won 2 games that season. Why'd we even win those? After all, I don't think it was until the last week of the season until it was decided which team would end up with the 1st pick.

If we were gonna take a dive for a draft pick, I think we'd have been far safer going 0-16 than 2-14.

You won 2 games on a roster that went to the playoffs the next year.

Which goes to show just how important having a good QB is -- not to mention how much 18 meant to us. And, the fact is, the Polian-era Colts made a conscious decision not to invest much in a backup for Manning. It showed that year. We tried three QBs -- Painter, Orlovsky, and (way past his prime) Kerry Collins. And, well, we looked like the Keystone Kops.

I'd like to think that Jim Irsay is clever enough to concoct this kind of brilliant scheme. But I don't.

Luck isn't Manning good and isn't a 10 game turn around.

    True. Not yet, anyway.

I'm not sure you fully appreciate the kind of roster overhaul we had between those two seasons. It wasn't just the QB position -- although that's probably the most important one.

Irsay cleaned house: from the front office, to the coaching staff, and on both sides of the ball. Addai, Clark, Brackett, Garcon, Tamme, Saturday, Lacey, Wheeler, couple other OLs.

So, no, we didn't go to the playoffs in 2012 with the same team (other than the QB) that won 2 games the year prior.

So you were arguably worse - talent wise?

No. I'm just saying the 2012 team wasn't simply the 2011 team with Luck taking Painter's place under center. There was a lot more turnover than that.

It's no secret that Manning took up a pretty hefty chunk of our salary cap. Releasing him and some of the other veterans who had become pricy gave us a big checkbook on the FA market. All in all, I think Grigson has done a pretty good job -- with the notable exception (thus far, anyway) of Richardson.
