I could see Carol siding with the Gov actually. I hate Rick. He's the worst thing about the show IMO. He seems to be intimidated anytime someone other than him makes a decision. Did anyone else note the irony that Herchel & Co. are now pretty much doing the same thing Rick kicked Carol out of the group for (killing the sick and burning the bodies)?

I think that was very intentional and will be an issue moving forward. Possible division amongst the ranks? I like Rick. He's not the same-ole stupid tough guy lead. He struggles with decisions and makes mistakes..

There is a huge difference between what Carol did and what Herschel did.
Carol murdered living persons who were already isolated and posed no threat even if they did turn or carry the death flu. In killing those people Herschel had to take critical, quick action in the face of imminent danger to a vulnerable population trapped inside with soon-to-be zombies.. Burning them I suppose was the common element to debate.

Gov is a gay villain now. Hope they kill him next episode.

I definitely agree there's a difference. Still was it so different that what Carol did warranted removal from the group while what Herschel did was A-Okay? I think Carol did the smart thing (note I said smart not necessarily right). And I tended to side with Shane over Rick in a lot of their disagreements. IMO Rick is too emotional. And he's whiney and hypocritical.

LOL - Not saying Rick is right - I'm just saying I like Rick - he's entertaining in part because he's a hypocritical character that does screw up or makes the wrong choice and you can tell it eats him up. That car ride back to the prison made up part of two episodes - and I think he was pondering going back and looking for Carol.
He is a halfway to a comedy of errors. He is Matt Dillon in Tex..

Shane was closer to the predictable, boring action hero - there was little mystery to his motivations and actions. Once you realized he was a murderous ******* there was little else to find out about him.
So glad they didn't turn Rick into Shane..

It crushes my soul watching the group learch from crisis too crisis without any sort of plan.

Reading the comics is even worse in that aspect.

but its entertaining so I watch

I do agree that having a conflicted lead such as Rick actually makes the show more interesting in some respects. He just really gets on my nerves. He's easily my least favorite of the main characters, which sucks. But hey, the show is interesting so that's all that really matters.

I'd pay money to see Daryl whoop Rick's @$$ one good time though. :)

The thing that bothers me most about Rich is how he says "Carl". It's just awful and I laugh almost everytime.

But, Carl's character has improved leaps and bounds. It's a good change, seems more like the comic version.

Reading the comics is what has killed the Talking Dead for me.

yeah. cause it always seems like they are borrowing ideas from the comics, its tough to tell who knows spoilers or what, but some of what is said its like "oh yeah of course you would say that because that happens later in the comics"
