That was a dumpster fire franchise though with terrible management.

    I'd have left too

Just stop the Saban talk now. So stupid. He's not leaving college football.

Wasn't that his job to turn that franchise around though. Saban wouldn't be anything in the NFL..

Anyways, Saban wouldn't coach in Nashville if his life depended on it.

I actually think the answer is no, unless maybe it is unanimous amongst the heirs to the ownership.

Depends on how everything is worded I guess. Not sure if there is someone to act with direct authority regarding coaches after Bud's passing. I doubt a lot of paperwork has gone through or is official. It's morbid to discuss this but as old as I am I know a lot about this stuff.

And of course we all know it would not happen anyways but just wanted to play pretend and answer your question.

Raises an interesting hypothetical. What if it was the Dolphins situation X100 and the coaches were implicated and it was clear they had to be fired, BUT the ownership passed during that time? It's a reach, but I guess the commissioner could suspend a coach even without proof or trial conclusion (which is already a precedent given player suspensions and G.Williams suspension). Maybe the owners know what they are doing when they decided to give so much more power to a commissioner as they have under Goodell. Someone to act for the majority.

    IDK you tell me

he took a 4-12 talent team and won 6 in a row with them with QB's like Dante Culpepper, Joey Harrington, and Cleo Lemon.

He made a concerted effort to improve the team's defense and running game and it showed as he produced the leagues 2nd ranked defense and a top ranked running game as well. Guy can coach, he made a pathetic Dolphins team competitive, he won 6 and 4 straight in two different years in a tough division, has munch ever won 3 straight?

In the NFL you have bosses and other people making player decisions.

In college you are the GM, Coach, coordinator and part owner.

Nick needs total control to suceed. He won't get that in the league

I won't even go back and forth with you on this Saban subject. We all know Saban wouldn't come to this team and you know it.

Therefore, I'm out on this subject.
