Jake Locker wasn’t perfect in the first four games of the season, but he was pretty close.

The Titans quarterback threw six touchdowns and no interceptions while guiding the team to a 3-1 start. He had a passer rating of 99.0 at the quarter-mark.

After sitting out two games with hip/knee injuries he suffered in the second half of the September 29 game against the Jets, however, he hasn’t been quite as effective.

Locker has thrown two touchdowns and three interceptions in the last two games, including two picks in Sunday’s 28-21 win against the Rams. His passer rating against the Rams was 48.5.

Heading into Sunday’s game against the Jaguars, Locker knows he has to play better.

“Obviously, you look at stats, it wasn’t the best (vs. the Rams). We can be better in the passing game,’’ Locker said. “I think two decisions in the last game I take back, but other than that I was pretty happy with things. I just need to continue to focus on the little details.”

Locker faced the Jaguars twice last season, and the Titans split those two games.

Locker said the Jaguars have changed some things compared to a year ago under head coach Gus Bradley.

And while he’s still wearing the knee brace on his right knee, he said he no longer has limitations keeping him from taking off, whether it’s running or throwing the football. He hopes to eventually ditch the brace.

“It’s just kind of a thing that will go day-by-day, we’ll see how it feels,’’ he said. “When I feel confident without it, then I won’t (wear it). But I trust it, I feel confident in it, and I don’t feel that it hinders me noticeably in any way.”

Hopefully he gets more time to throw this game. To get sacked that quick on a 3 man pass rush is unbelievable.

I think this is the game where he regains his confidence and gets back to form.

No doubt he is rusty, but he has brought more life to this offense compared to Fitzpatrick. Honestly, he was one of the worst QBs i have ever seen. I would rather have Hasselback or even KFC than him; and I'm not too fond of those guys.

Jake will bounce back to himself as he continues to get healthy. That injury hospitalized him, and that says how serious is may have been. We are lucky to have him back so early.

Definitely. I'll say it now, and I'll say it come April...we need to draft another QB to back up Jake and even possibly be his replacement one day. Rusty needs to go IMO. The draft will be thick with good QBs this April.

Hopefully Locker will get rid of the ball quicker this game. I expect us to run all over them so hopefully loggains will call some play action passes! Dear Loggains, please keep Britt off the game plan as he needs to attend to his bench duties of being the Titans water boy for players that care! Thank you!

Yes please keep Britt parked on the bench where he belongs.Last game against St. Louis he cost us an interception luckily not the game. However i've said it over and over that the time will come where Britt will end up costing us a game with the way he plays. He has already dropped over twenty passes or close to it.Just a bad idea all around because he contributes nothing to this team.
