You sure about that? Everything I've heard is that his family has little to no interest in the team.

I'd love to do that if I had a small group of friends to go with. I usually only make one game a year.. I'd be a bit worried about mileage on my car, though.

360 miles round trip x 8 times a year = nearly 3,000 miles a year for Titans games. Not too big of a deal I guess. Maybe once I have a bit more income I'll start doing that.

RSB are you going to school at UT by chance? Or just live in Knoxville? I'm over in Cedar Bluff.

Yea, I go to UT... It's well documented by now that I hate Knoxville. I would not be here if it weren't for school. lol

I have a Civic, so it's not too bad. $40 round trip... still sucks, but whatever. Team needs me!

    Here's what I understand:

Son-in-law Tommy Smith will likely take over the day-to-day management of the team. He was involved with the team up until the early 2000s. Bud wanted him in Nashville after Diamond left and he wasn't willing to move. He remained involved in some of Bud's other businesses back in Houston. Apparently, they were not extremely close.

Bud wasn't very active in his management the last few years which means the cogs are already in place to keep things going as is for this season and beyond.

The grandson has been involved in many areas of the team for a few years now. I've met the guy. Very polite. He came off to me as a sharp kid who Bud was grooming. He's still young (early 30's) so he may or may not have a bigger role with the team. I suppose that is up to TS.

The lease locks the Titans in until 2028. I think a buyout to move would be enormous so staying in Nashville until then is extremely likely. Besides, they're making money with things as is.

I am not 100% sure but from what I have read so far says his grandson is in line to take over the team. His son in law passed on the opportunity and I am not 100% sure with how his daughters take it but I know his grandson has been working with the team and learning from the ground up.
All I know is that going forward I want an owner that will put forth the effort to have a competitive football team in Nashville because that is all I could ever ask.

Whats our record since Bud passed? Then look at Titas/Oiler history and let me know the last time the team had that bad of a stretch.
