F*ck the NFL and their website. For real, some guy tears his ACL and its 'Breaking News' on their .com, but they loose a founding father of the sport and owner of a current team.... Doesn't even get a caption, just a normal article link...

My father-in-law was stationed in Houston for a while back in the last few years of the Oilers... he told me those games were great because he could walk to the stadium and get to see a game REAL CHEAP. Fan support for the Oilers, I'm sure... just not as much as there probably should've been.

    RIP Bud.

R.I.P. Mr. Adams. Grew up an Oilers fan in the mid 80's and continued with the Titans. One of the reasons we have the NFL we have today is because of the pioneer that was Bud Adams, I just wish the majority of NFL fans knew that. Thanks for all you've done for the game and for my Oilers/Titans, you will be missed.

It's all about the fantasy football. It is the present and future of the NFL. Bud adams dying doesn't affect anyone's fantasy team... so they won't focus on it.

BTW, I kinda hate fantasy football. It kills the team-first mentality of the fans.

"I think it's ruined the game, actually," said Plummer, recently replaced as starter by rookie Jay Cutler. "There are no true fans anymore, because if I lose a game I come out of Invesco Field and there's not a Denver fan mad that I lost, but happy because I threw three TDs. When I was growing up, I was a fan of my team, not the points I'm getting.

"It's kind of unnerving to me because you're like, 'We didn't win, but you're happy.' That's not right, because I'm not happy. I don't care if I throw five TDs if we lose. It's all about getting the win."

Ya I was wondering if anyone can find "ANYTHING" on bud adams in the media circuit?!

    I cant find shi*!!!

Everything is "reggie wayne is hurt ooo nooo!!!!"

Ive tried nfl network, espn, fox sports 1 nada!

Only time I have yet to hear anything on tv was a brief 8 seconds during the MNF game by Mike Tirico.

I dont give a shi* that media doesnt care about this organization - bud adams is big enough to freakin talk about in an entire segment! Founder and Pioneer from the AFL days, changed the sport of football, verrrry wealthy oil company, first pro football team ever to play in a dome list goes on ...

This is a disgrace I hate all these networks.

At the very least there should be a "life of adams" like they did with Steve McNair on nfl network ... We all know anyone in the Patriots, Steelers, Cowboys or New York franchises would get that kinda respect.

Really.... I remember the NFL, and media for that matter, flipping out when Hunt (Chiefs) passed away recently.

I guess I can understand other media websites (ESPN, Fox, etc...) making a big deal of one owner vs another (although tbh not really) but the NFL's website shouldn't discriminate like that...

So yeah, back to my initial argument.... 'F*ck the NFL' and 'Bull-Fu*king-Sh*t'

I agree with that.. I'm just saying, it's what drives hits to the website. A person is personally invested in their Fantasy team, so they will click on a link about Wayne going down. In reality, more football fans care about an injury to a player than Hunt or Adams dying. It's not a sensational story, but the NFL should make a bigger deal about it.

While very true, that's how a coach HAS to do it. Using fisher as comparison doesn't work because he was given an incredible amount of leeway. Munch may be doing things based on his job in the future, but he is also doing things based on trying to field the best team.

I'm sure several has mentioned this in the thread, but I appreciated everyone who called in on 104.5 the zone (mid-day and 3HL) who talked about Mr. Adams. I learned quite a bit by listening to former players, journalists who followed him and etc. He has accomplished more in his life time than someone could possibly imagined. This franchise will miss him being around.
