Is that true? I mean is Britt himself actually saying he is trying to be traded?

Because just saying that publicly hurts his trade value to the Titans.

As much as I want Britt off the team, don't want any players here that don't want to be, if he just screwed his trade value (coming off as a malcontent) I would have no qualms with the Titans benching and even deactivating him just to screw him over for his next contract.

    no that was just sarcasm.

Really, Britts tweet was enough for me to want him gone. Now, I could not care less about him. Its almost like he was playing poorly on purpose.

I hive five you for admitting that you made that up. ;) Some people here can't do that.

I also want him gone. But I'm certainly willing to give the guy a chance if he is trying. I mean, he should be playing as WR#4 right now subbing in occasionally.

Atleast we don't have a dumb front office with no negotiation skills. Like I said previously, we may not get a 3rd round pick, but I bet our FO tries to get one for him.

Taking a draft pick that is any higher than the 3rd round for him would be stupid on our part. The only time they threw it to him today he caught it for a first down. Williams, Wright, and Washington all had drops, Hunter is a rookie and it shows on everything except for jump ball which is why he doesnt get many opportunities anywhere else.

Why you want to watch hunter try and juke then get tackled when all needs is a half of yard to extend the drive. He did that crap in preseason too.

SEATTLE Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt was a spectator against the Seahawks until the fourth quarter.

By his count, he played only two snaps in the 20-13 loss.

“Was it tough to take? Well, I am a competitive guy, and I always want to compete. So yeah, it was kind of tough,” Britt said. “I just have to be ready when my number is called.”

Britt, who caught the only pass thrown in his direction — a seven-yard reception with 4:42 left — said he wouldn’t sulk.

“Me, I never give up on myself. I guess they did, I am not too sure,” he said. “But I am going to work as hard as I have since Day 1. I am going to come back and work as hard as I can until my last day here.”

Coach Mike Munchak said last week that Britt’s snaps would likely be reduced after his rocky start to the season. The fifth-year pro failed to haul in three catchable balls in a loss to the Chiefs, and had drops in other games as well.

“I think it’s a message we have to perform when we play, for anybody,” Munchak said. “If you are not producing with the ball coming your way, it doesn’t matter who you are. … We have to find the right mix of guys to win.”

So are the Titans limiting Britt’s snaps because they’re trying to keep him healthy for a possible trade? Right now, that’s not the case.

The Titans have talked to interested teams in recent weeks about a trade involving Britt, but nothing is imminent according to sources familiar with the situation.

One report on Sunday indicated the Titans have been attempting to get a third-round pick or a combination of third-round picks for Britt. Sources indicated that report was incorrect.

The NFL trade deadline is Oct. 22.

Britt, who has seven catches for 59 yards on the season, is in the final year of his contract.

“I know what type of player I am and I know what I can do on the field. I am not going to get down on myself because a couple of games didn’t go my way,” Britt said. “I know I can come back at any time, I just need to go out there and prove it and I just need a chance to prove it.”

Offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains said he’s still counting on Britt.

“Don’t read too much into (Britt’s playing time),” Loggains said. “Kenny bounced back and had a catch in a crucial 2-minute situation. I still belive that Kenny Britt is going to help this offense and I think he is going to fight back.

“That is really how you play yourself into a bigger role, is you make a play when your number is called, and that’s what he did. We need to get him going next week.”
