As much as I'd love to dump CJ and replace him with a Richardson/Forte combo, Welker is just TOO valuable. 7 TDs in 5 games man (leading the league). The hit your WR group would take outweighs the boost your RB group would receive IMHO.

Honestly, I think you'll regret it if you make this trade. You say you're in first place and have the most points in the league. Well, looking at your roster Wes Welker is probably the biggest reason that is the case. He's the MVP of your team. You have a lot of decent-to-solid WRs. But you're still going to miss Welker big time if you trade him.

If I were you I'd instead try to package Colston and CJ for ONE new RB.

I feel like I just can't give up Welker. But man, Forte has some awesome matchups coming up. I might have to do it.

    Ugh. Decisions, decisions.

I've been trying this pretty hardcore. He's not going for it. He pretty much hates both Colston and CJ.

And thanks for the advice because I've been going against my gut and hating myself for it in our money league.

I'll also add, in my experience being successful in fantasy isn't necessarily about having the most well-rounded team. It's about having those absolute STUD players (like Welker) you can rely on week in and week out to put up big points. Whenever I have a guy like that I'm not trading him under any circumstance (unless it's for an even bigger stud).

One other thing I think it worth taking into consideration.... Peyton and that Denver offense are showing zero signs of slowing down. They are yet to have a bad week, or even an average one. You can't say the same for Indy and Chicago. What I'm getting at is I feel Welker is more reliable on a weekly basis than either of the two RBs you'd be getting.

All this ranting aside, I wouldn't blame you for making the trade. I just wouldn't do it.

You wanna see what a 5-0 team looks like though? In my primary league that's been running for years now, I'm 5-0. Here's my team (12 team league):

    QB - Matt Ryan
    WR - Brandon Marshall
    WR - Torrey Smith
    WR - DeSean Jackson
    RB - Ray Rice
    RB - Giovani Bernard
    TE - Julius Thomas
    W/R/T - Jordan Cameron
    K - Justin Tucker
    DEF - Cincinnati

    Bench:
    Tony Romo
    Justin Blackmon
    Kenbrell Thompkins
    Denarius Moore
    DeAndre Hopkins
    Stevan Ridley
    Shane Vereen
    David Wilson

I attempted to trade Romo, Jackson, Ridley, Thomas, and Moore all for AP and Welker last week. Under the circumstances I thought it was a very fair trade because his QBs are Eli and Schaub. Had he accepted it, he would've won.

Not sure if I'd go for that trade now because I might need Romo.

Romo is good for fantasy, he puts up the numbers but he just can't win a game in reality lol same thing goes for rivers. I just dropped vick as my backup for rivers, well I am waiting on the waiver to finish by midnight. I have matt ryan but he is on a bye and I am considering rivers because he is playing out of his mind so far this year.

boldin sucked it up last week but my team picked up his slack, my backup wr is fitzgerald, I am considering starting him but if I do , who do I bench? my other wr is julio and he is done for season and on bye

Larry Fitzgerald? I'd be starting him over Boldin at this point, even though he hasn't been all that great lately either. From what I understand there's a decent chance Megatron may not go this weekend either. So if that's the case then your decision is made for you

I just have to vent/rant real quick.

In my main league (live draft with a bunch of buddies), I've won the league 3 years in a row. Just sheer domination. Now, the fantasy gods are punishing me for it. Despite having a pretty solid team that includes Calvin, AJ Green, J. Thomas, Murray, KC/TEN DEF, I'm 0-5.

I keep getting matched up with the worst possible team each week. And I'm running into fluke things like Darren Sproles blowing up for 20+ when he hasn't done jack s*&# any of the other weeks. I'm leading the league in "points against" by 50+

Also, last week I completed a trade where I sent Antonio Brown to another team for Michael Vick. So naturally Vick gets hurt in his first game for me and puts up 10 points, while Russell Wilson has a nice day on my bench. ALSO after trading away Brown, Calvin is suddenly ruled out and may miss another week. So a week ago I was really set at WR and now I'm potentially hurting. Couldn't have had worse luck with a trade.

This is getting very frustrating. I'm already done and we haven't even started week 6.
