I said it before and I will say it again...It is time to move on from CJ and fill needs/cut his salary. The party has been over....Now lets hope the Titans can at least get some descent picks or something for him...I think Greene will be fine and the OL will gel in due time.

Agree with you entire post. But wanted to key in on this one part specifically. Why do you suppose this isn't happening? And that's not rhetorical as I have no earthly idea myself. We all know CJ needs the ball in space. And we all know the run game currently isn't working. So why is Loggains continually doing the same thing THAT ISN'T WORKING over and over again with CJ? And why is Munch allowing him to do so? IDK, something just doesn't add up here and I'm honestly starting to wonder how much confidence this staff even has in CJ.

Catching the ball may not be his strength. But IMO he's adequate at it as far as running backs go (once had 50 catches for 500 yards for us). Add his speed to the mix and there's just zero excuse that we aren't at least TRYING it more. If he starts dropping balls left and right then experiment over. But hey, at least we tried something different.

Admittedly, I titled this thread a bit harshly as I was super pissed about the loss. But my overall point still stands. If we're just going to run CJ right up the gut every time then we are shooting ourselves in the foot in two ways: 1) We aren't playing to the strength of our biggest "Playmaker", and 2) We're using the smallest back on the roster as if he's Jerome Bettis.

My main thing here is either change the gameplan or change the RB. EITHER ONE. Because what we're currently doing is not working.

I wish we would of picked up Marcus Lattimore in the draft. Next year cut ties w/ CJ and we have Greene + Lattimore ready to go.

You're not wrong. However, I'm over expecting him to live up to his contract and be an "elite RB". I just want him to look like a "good" one at this point.

And I would still LOVE for Wyatt or Kuharsky or someone to ask Munch what happened to these "different things" we were supposed to be doing with CJ this year.

I know you're reading this PK. Get it done.

We need to cut/trade C.J. and use that money on Verner & Pollard, then just draft anyone in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th round to replace C.J.

Which is just sad. Paying the guy elite money to just be "good"? No thanks, cut the bum and get the same production for a fraction of the cost. Maybe the Raiders will be fools and trade for him after they lose DMC this off-season.

CJ is now a mediocre back who's best stuff is in the open field.
Too bad he's so poor at the line that he'll never consistently see open field.

I suspect we'll see this whole season go by and any big runs will associated with huge misses on defense..
    It's over.
