We'll likely cut Wimbley, Stewart, and Stevens after this year. That saves a ton of money that we can use of keeping players like Verner & Pollard.

Verner needs to be top priority. Even over Pollard.

I have always wanted a Pug names Pugsley. My current dogs would probably eat him though. I will live vicariously through Bryan.

    Next year salaries:
    Stewart - $6.4 mil
    Wimbley - $7.8 mil
    Stevens - $4.4 mil
    Questionables: Griffin ($8 mil) & CJ2K ($10 mil)

If we get rid of the top three, that $18.6 mil released from our cap. Majority of that covers Pollard, Verner, and our free agent class.

Another guy who needs resigned is Ropati Pitoitua. He's looked great in limited snaps. If we cut Stewart, Wimbley, and Stevens how's that affect our drafting outlook? We'll need a replacement RT, someone who can play Day 1 - that means Rd 1 or Rd 2. We still need a MLB. If we keep Verner, I doubt we'll go CB in the draft - as we have young guys for depth. Defensive end will likely be our #2 need.

Forgot about him. And yeah, he does need to be resigned.

Should not be too hard. With all the OL this past draft I do not expect a big run on OL next year.

The way see priority signings are......

    1. Verner (by FAR)
    2. Pollard
    3. Ropati Pitoitua
    4. Williams

you are likely to see Stewart gone IF he will not come back at a reduced rate. Frankly I wouldn't be concerned either way. Sammie Hill is on the bubble. We cannot afford to pay someone so much to basically be non existent. Wimbley will probably be gone, I think the writing is on the wall here.

Steelers fans always want to take credit for developing Nate as a receiver, but I remember he was like their 4th WR that only went deep. I remember them complaining about his hands too. He didn't truly develop as a receiver until he came here and his hands get better every year.

Did not develop until Hass got here. I think he deserves some credit for getting Nate where he is.

Dave Stewart isn't going anywhere and shouldn't be either. Wimbley on the other hand can go now.

You sure about that? #1 paid RT, and he's not even playing as a Top-10 RT right now.
