Verner is AFC Defensive Player of Week

    Titans cornerback Alterraun Verner has been named the AFC Defensive player of the Week for his performance in Sunday’s game against the Jets.

    Verner had two interceptions and a fumble recovery in Tennessee’s 38-13 win. He now has six takeaways — four interceptions and two fumble recoveries – on the season.

    Already, Verner has set a career high with four interceptions this season (three in 2010).

    This is how the Titans will get noticed, winning and having dominating performances. Right now our team has no star power, maybe Verner can be a household name.

    Me and you have had many lengthy debates about who is better ATV or JMAC. I know its only four games in, but I've watched them both carefully throughout their careers and I've always been leaning towards ATV.

    Do you think he's overtaken JMAC yet, or you still leaning towards the Mac?

    Note - I've ALWAYS been a huge JMAC fan and continually said that we have two solid CBs and if we get pressure upfront, they will really shine. This is not a shot at J, b/c he's playing GREAT ball in his own right...
