    Because he was talented.

Houston ruined him, in all Honesty.

How they guy is still alive amazes me. He never had any time to throw. So eventually he'd just spazz out even when there was no pressure.

He's like an abuse victim. Raise an arm anywhere near him and he gets jumpy.

But he can be a decent backup, I think. There are a couple I'd rather have instead of course.

Anyone other than Smith makes no sense.

If this was March I say this inclusive search would be welcome, but in Sept/Oct its crazy too think a Carr/Leftwich/ect can come in and be effective at all.

In all honesty it would be better too take kfc too the drunk tank and sober his arse up than burden the Loaggins/Rogan with getting a street UFA up too speed

Freeman isn't any better than Fitz. I don't know why people keep bringing him up.

Kerry Collins was signed by the Titans on Aug. 25, 2006 and was starting 16 days later against the Jets. He was able to complete a forward pass.....

If they sign a new guy, he won't need months of study before he's able to complete a pass or two. He'll be the backup, so he'll likely get time to study the system. They're just trying to see if they can do better than Rusty Smith, maybe they deem that not a possibility after a few FA workouts, but I'm glad that they are at least exploring thier options.

If its only 4/6 weeks, roll with Fitz and Rusty. Season should still be open and we dont need to waste a pick on a stop gap guy. Jake looks to be our guy and we will need those picks for tackles next year. Fitz was brought in for this reason.

did you go too that glorious game?

My favorite play was when kfc threw his off arm up too avoid the shadow blitz that was not there - pure kfc

BTW how did that game work out again???

I didn't say Kerry Collins was a good QB, trust me, those words have never come out of my mouth; we lost by a TD, I think. But the point was that he was able to function, and he wasn't rendered completely useless because he had only been a Titan for 16 days. Again, it is backups that we are looking at.

I don't think they should settle for Rusty merely because "he knows the playbook", and the only QB's we can have on this team are those that have studied the system for 6 months. If they can upgrade talent wise, they should.

Seriously, what's the point of having Rusty on the practice squad if you're not going to elevate him in this situation? The guy has been in the system for almost four years. If he isn't good enough to be elevated from the PS to be a temporary #2 over someone off the street why is he taking up a spot?

WHAT DOES HE HAVE ON BUD ADAMS!?
