For a little perspective, the Rams spent a FIFTH round pick on a perfectly productive and healthy WR in the last year of his deal in Brandon Lloyd.

A third round pick for Britt would be asinine. Not that I'd be upset with it, but it's not going to happen and anyone who thinks it is going to happen is in for a letdown.

Regardless of what a GM might think of Britt, he simply isn't worth a 3rd round pick. You don't give up a pick that high based solely on potential and what he "used to be". Anquan Boldin was traded for a 6th this past offseason. And he's twice the receiver Kenny is, at least.

Britt hasn't been the same since the knee injury. He is also a huge off-the-field concern/risk. And he's on the last year of his deal with the Titans and everyone knows we aren't going to re-sign him. Now, taking all of this into consideration, why on earth would anyone give up a 3rd round pick for him?

    Go.

Because he plays for the Titans and had three good games two years ago.

And they got an amazing deal out of that. The Broncos were dumb for doing that because they would have easily gotten a 3rd round Comp pick. It must have been serious locker room issue at that point for them to do that.

No they wouldn't. They signed Peyton Manning to a mega-contract that following offseason.

What comp pick do you think we'd get for Britt? Keep in mind the formula takes into account the contract amount, the production the year following the offseason and the amount of free agents we sign in 2014.

Britt isn't getting a big contract, he hasn't produced in two years and we don't know how much we're going to spend in free agency. In order to get anything over a fifth round pick he'd need to have more than the typical Kenny Britt year, which is about 650 yards. I'll take a normal 6th over a comp 6th any day, considering it would be in the middle of the round and could be traded while the comp pick is at the end of the round and untradeable.

It's called supply and demand. There aren't any WR's laying around out there with the physical abilities that Britt has. Also, it's a F'n THIRD round pick. We traded one of ours to move up 5 spots in the draft.

Also, please stop bringing up these teams that are trading WR's for 6th round picks. In each instance, you are simply giving another example of a terribly bad front office decision. Who was our 6th round pick this year? last? the year before? Please stop with the Britt for a 6th round pick, because our GM isn't that dumb.

I say if we got a 5th for britt that would be a steal. honestly I was the biggest britt supporter, he has the abilities to be a top 10 receiver but he isn't our guy. I would take a 6th and be happy or a 7th and kill the cancer before it spreads. at his point he is not doing us any good.

I'm thinking the same thing.More than likely though i think they'd get a 7th rounder and just be happy to get him out of their hair.At this point after all the arrests and injuries not to mention poor play they are probably ready to ship him out and be done with it.I think Williams and Hunter would do a better job anyway.
