We're saving it for the teams we're not ready for.

We have years of tape on the Steelers D and Houstons D, nothings changed for those guys in a long time. So offenses can use less to beat those guys.

I bet we'll use more read option for teams like SD, KC, SEA.

 

How bout we get some play action passes going first before we go for read option! just my opinion, think it would help the running and passing game!

 

You're joking right? Every team has years of tape on every team. This isn't 1960. Every game is available at various sources today. There's so many programs out there that are costly but offer millions of games.

In 5 minutes I could go into the office and pull up some NCAA basketball game with Alabama State vs Marshall from 6 years ago.

Let make this real simple...baring injury Locker will be the QB for the remainder of the year. This is his year to prove his point that he deserves to be back next year. They will give him the entire year to do it. Most teams don't cut a 8th overall pick after only 20 starts, especially one that has shown ability at times.

 

The wild card is if the coaches feel like they will lose too often with him if he does not significantly improve. Coach's job on the line or switch to Fitzpatrick and save your job... I hope Locker gets it right consistently I really do. But Munchak's hind-end is on the block so you never know.

My gut tells me that Jake is becoming gun shy. It's really hard to be confident, surveying the field when you know the coaching staff has little faith in your ability to throw the ball. The staff isn't exactly instilling confidence in him and that is a huge problem.

I remember Munch saying that the highly conservative game plan against the Redskins was planned. I still can't figure out why they were so vanilla in the preseason, isn't that the time to get work on areas of weakness; when the games don't count?

With 50 pass attempts through two games, with most of those being simple hitch routes, it's clear that don't want Jake to throw and what's worse I think Jake knows it.
