If Steve Mcnair is a hall of fame player than so also is Randall Cunningham and Boomer Esiason.

To make an argument for Steve and Eddie you would have to double the numbers of RBs and QBs in the hall.

Is Thomas Jones a hall of fame back? His career numbers are almost identical to Eddie George.

    EG was dominate
    McMVP was dominate

neither put up flashy numbers. You had too watch them play too understand how dominate they were.

I would much rather have EG than Barry Sanders
I would much rather have McMVP than Moon

you would rather look at numbers, numbers that dont come close too telling the whole story. But at least you will be comforted by the lazy HoF voters who will do the same

I still have this magazine and I am someone that keeps very little sports memorabilia.I think McNair had the ability all along to put up HoF numbers. However he played for one of the most conservative head coaches during that time.

I think McNair would have the numbers for sure if he didn't sit for his first two years, and no reason to sit behind chandler that dope. Hopefully the voters will recognize and take everything in to account. If IRON MAN was a factor, Steve goes to the top!

If you argue numbers to justify what McNair and George did during their time on the field, you are not a very smart Titans fan.

You could argue that McNair deserves to go in based on his reputation and his highlights, I think if he had been in a bigger market, he would be in even without a ring.

I agree, his numbers won't get him in I don't think, I would his play and mvp season while he played hurt would, but idk how voters think and what they consider.

Like I said before... if it is simply the numbers/stats, no way. BUT, I still say McNair exemplifies what a Pro Footballer is. Are there others? Ok, sure... but, I personally don't know who they would be. I watched the Titans.

So, my argument is... is that all the HoF is? Numbers and stats? Don't include anyone that brought anything to the game.

They should probably clean house at the HoF every 10 years to get rid of the players who have, now, weak numbers/stats to make room for the players that overshadow them.
