When our offense went out and struggled to find their identity. However, our defense played lights out against a below average offense. We left that game with a few serious questions, but...

We went on to finish 13-3. That average team was Jacksonville (their season fell apart, but they were one year removed from 11-5).

    Here is some observations:

    Winners
    --
Jurell Casey- Not much to say here. Had a few sacks and had the middle shut down.

Bulluc.... I mean... Zach Brown- Just going to come out and say it: Brown looked like a young, faster Keith Bulluck today. All over the field.

McCourty + Verner - Shut down corners today. Do I think they can sustain it for 15 more games? No. Still, well done. As a big time critic of McCourty I have to eat some crow on this one.

Jackie Battle - Couldn't have seen himself playing today. Came out when his job was not on the line and ran his *** off.

    Losers
    --
Locker and the recieving core- Nate did what he always does, but aside from him, there was nothing there. Locker needs to settle down and deliver the ball. Granted, he can't do that with DBs stuck to our recievers like glue.

Chris Johnson- Were there many holes? No. But even if it isn't his fault.. we need more from him. Battle made do, and if CJ can't, then we need to figure something out.

    Derius ****ing Reynaud

Coty Sensabaugh - When our DBs gave up completions Coty was always in the camera shot.

    Other Notes

    - The O-line was ok. Great in pass protection and subpar in run blocking.

    - Bironas looked fine today. Good sign.

-No turnovers! Locker gave them some oppertunities... but winning games is much easier when we hold on to the football.

    CJ played pretty good.

    He wasn't a loser today.

I didn't realize he got the rock 25 times.

Regardless, a shade under 3 YPC and a long of a 11 keeps him on the loser board.

Granted, it isn't fair that he occupies the same space as Darious ****ing Reynaud.

Compared to the rest of the team he was definitely a loser. I would say he did "ok". His performance is not what you expect from a top 5 RB in the league which is what I consider him to be.

Yeah Reynaud made one dumb play but had a very nice return that basically sealed the game for us. I'm not getting the Locker hate on the board today considering he had no turnovers, made a few nice plays, and made something out of nothing with his legs. We were also facing a top defense, it's not like last year when half their roster was out of the game. CJ could've done better but didn't have much to work with. WRs I agree, couldn't get open.

It's not really hate, it's more like concern. Maybe I expected too much from him but all I really expected was a good not great performance. Instead I got a little below average. It concerns me because I know Houston has a much better secondary and pass rush.

You should add Ropati Pitoitua to the winners list.

    I needed 4 losers.

After the two obvious ones, I was left with CJ and the passing game.

You can't watch that game and think "Yes, that is what I want our passing game to look like"

It is true on the turnovers.

When you play TP and he is running around that isn't an easy thing to do.

I didn't see the CJ of 2012. If it wasn't there, he hit it upfield most of the game. No negative runs trying to hit a home run.

When it comes down to it you could put almost every defensive player up there.
