They better improve bc the NFC South is going to be tough. 3 teams went 7-9.

Well the Saints of course should not be slept on, and soon Carolina will make the jump, its only a matter of time. Tampa is constantly on the verge of 10+ wins. That division is as wide open as any.

They have nothing to be concerned about. Steven Jackson still looks like a monster and will make that team so much better than they were last year.

I couldn't be happier with the way our team played tonight. Locker was on the money again, CJ founds the holes and took what was given to him every play, and we got insane pressure on Ryan. Just imagine if we had Wright, Ayers, Brown, etc. tonight.

Our starters looked better than theirs and that's a pretty positive sign. They're a top 5 team this year.

It is preseason, but I saw enough tonight to believe we will be a competitive team making a playoff push. Holding that offense to 6 points in the first half is incredible - preseason or not.

The things I look at are the very basics.

Locker completing passes, and the fact our front 4 consistently got pressure on Ryan. You never want your QB to get sacked, preseason or not. Very very good signs.

They didn't have White, but they have enough weapons to put up serious points without him. Good progress from the first team tonight.

They're just joking around though.. Trade Ryan for Locker, 0-16, blah blah blah. They know they'll be fine. We have real concerns that we'll have a losing season.

Agreed. Of all the preseason games, I think most will concur that the third one is the one of "importance" and, I'd say, a good 90% of teams take it seriously - at least the first half.

Take that into consideration... our 1st Team dominated their 1st Team. Sure, they were without Roddy White, but we were without almost our entire Linebacking Corps.

All that said... I think the addition of SJ will be huge for them. They will be improved - but that whole division is nothing to sleep on, at the moment. They'll be better, but so will their competition.
