Im tired of explaining why Jake struggled, he'll be better, and I can not wait to see everything finally come together.

Yea I've seen the issues. I'm not saying its fully his fault. I've seen him make strikes and raise the bar. This year he will have to elevate the team to become a winner. His moving target accuracy is the one thing I truly do doubt though.

Lemme expand on that. Horizontal targets he seems to have trouble with. Crossing routes and slant type throws he tends to be behind the receiver. That could be an anticipation thing. I still must add it under overall accuracy though. There are of course variables to that as well. In his rookie season he targeted the wrs he w most comfortable with from the second team. Hawkins for example. Different speeds/body placement and so forth could all be part of that issue. His intermediate routes/west coast style throws need to be on target so wrs like wright can really emerge this year.

Locker seems better at throwing seam routes and vertical throws to hit the target than he does the horizontal timing ones.

If we go 9-7, we'll likely make playoffs in the AFC.

If Locker struggles a ton, it wouldn't surprise me if we dipped in for a 2nd-3rd round QB for competition. However, I think Locker will be just fine.

We need to start looking at OT, FS, and MLB.

Really, you're saying 9-7 will be good enough?

BRB (going to research this claim)

Ok so maybe 9-7 gets us in. In the past 5 years 10 teams have made the playoffs with a 9-7 record or worse. Seattle made it in 2010 with a 7-9 record (thats just wrong)

haha, yeah... look at the AFC this year, pretty weak. We could easily get in at 9-7.

    1. Denver
    2. New England
    3. Houston
    4. Cincy

Last two spots I have a feeling will be between Indy, Pitt, Tenn, and KC.

Im currently doing a mock season.

Ive got all the AFC teams schedules in front of me and Im seeing how I think things may shape out.

Im curious to see if 9-7 does it for us.

Im hoping we dont have to find out what 9-7 is worth, double digit wins has to be the goal.

Right now, i'd say we're probably the odd man out of Indy, Pitt, Tenn, and KC.

Indy -- Lucks only going to get better. Same with their TEs & T.Y. Hilton. Bradshaw (if healthy) will be huge for them, he's a 1000 yard back. Greg Toler, Darius Butler, & Laron Landry will help that secondary. Luckily, I think Bjoern Werner will be a bust in the 3-4. Also picked up two new DL to start that are more familiar with 3-4.

Pitt -- Steelers will have an improved OL. Le'Veon Bell has ROY potential. I question how Sanders & Brown will step up with Mike Wallace gone. There defense will be good again, and that added Jarvis Jones.. who has ROY potential also. Arguably a Top-5 pick if healthy.

KC -- Alex Smith will make a huge difference. They have a legit weapons already (Charles + Bowe), with a top offense line. Hali & Houston are scary pass rushers. Add in Sean Smith, Flowers, and Berry and that has potential to be a Top-5 secondary. Plus, Andy Reid is a great coach.

We have potential. But we need alot of players to actually step up and not just look good in practice. Locker must improve a ton. We need atleast CJ1.5 to show up. OL has to be as good on the field as they are on paper. We need Morgan, Wimbley, Ayers, and Brown all to show up. Plus, our CBs are so unproven.. Sensabaugh, TC, and WW all have potential, but we haven't seen them actually show it (yet).
