Just wondering, why is your profile jersey McCourty when you're this optimistic about Locker? Not criticizing at all, just wondering. McCourty is only slightly above average for a starting CB. Heck, I love Locker, I'm just frustrated with the lack of production and bad accuracy and decision making.

Oh he can still go down.. if Fitzy jumps him for starter this time next season, that's a significant step down, and a bust of a top ten pick. :disappointed:

FIRST of all, Fitz isn't taking anyones job, thats comical to even imagine.

McCourty has been my jersey for 2 years now, and its not that I want it to be, but over the course of those 2 years he's been our most consistent player.

Once Pollard has a jersey I can sport, Im changing it. I have been watching Pollard for years hoping some day we'd get a guy like him, and we did even better, we went and got HIM!

As for my support for Locker, I just see so much in him, he has everything it takes to succeed at this level.

I dont support scrub players, so the fact I endorse Locker should mean others do too. If youre hesitant to be on board with Locker I can't blame you, his tape has been blah, but most people don't know the true Jake Locker yet, but they will.

Just expect the WORST and hope for the BEST when it comes to Locker.

Is Alex Smith one of the best QB's?

    Statistical comparison Locker vs Luck...

    Passing rating:
    Locker 78.4
    Luck 76.5

    Comp %:
    Locker 55.5%
    Luck 54.1%

    Yards per attempt:
    Locker 7.2
    Luck 7.0

    TD to int ratio:
    Locker 14-11(1.27)
    Luck 23-18(1.28))

    Rushing yards per carry:
    Locker 7.1
    Luck 4.1

Those are the numbers of the 2 QBs to this point. One is considered a god and the other a bum with accuracy problems. No cherry picking here.

I agree, Albert Haynesworth all over again. We get 2 great seasons out of him and then let somebody else pay through the nose for him in free agency.

Vince Young's career passing rating is 74.4.

Alex smith's career passing rating is 79.

And what was the point again?

Because CJtheBeast keeps holding on to VY's 98 qb rating for 9 games. Alex Smith had a 104 QB rating through 10 games last year.

I think like others have posted that its easy for this "Jaws" guy to pick on a small market QB. Not going to have many emailing or twitting him that he is wrong. I do think its weird he has Weeden and EJ ahead of him. But Locker hasnt done anything either. So let guys like this say what they want. Will make those winning games this season that much sweeter.

That makes me feel a bit better, but Luck has the clutch factor. He also took a 2-14 team and went 11-5 with them. Locker on the other hand took over a 9-7 team, and we ended 6-10.. with three of those wins coming from Hasselsack. Luck also has all the tools to be a pro bowl QB, while Locker is iffy. Luck deserves to be deemed superior to Locker by a longshot right now.
