Time to move on bro, there's a reason why VY is still a FA. Let me guess, you think Fisher is Illuminati?

He's better than Jamarcus Russell...if that makes you feel better.

Everything Jaws said was spot on based on the original post. I like Locker a lot, but he's shown nearly nothing to be excited about. Maybe a few games 2 years ago that we ultimately lost

Sanchez has been a starter for several years and has had plenty of time to develop and seems to be getting worse with time. I would not trade Locker for him. Even with last years debacle with perhaps the worst o-line in the league Locker has a career passing rating 5 points higher than Sanchez.

Locker's 76 rating with 14tds and 10 ints are not bad given his playing time and how horrible our o-line was last year. We just have to hope he can stay healthy.

I might even take my chances with Locker over Dalton.

What about his 15 of 17 performance against the saints his rookie year? As a rokie he looked like a stud.

Nothing unreasonable about this ranking. It is true that Locker has had limited opportunities over the past 2 seasons due to injury and Hasselbeck. He has done little with the little he has had. That is why Jaws ranks somebody who hasn't taken a snap above him. Also, others ranked above him did a lot more with the little opportunity they were given their rookie year or first year to have the reigns.

There are many reasons why Locker's performance SHOULD improve this year- better O-line, simpler scheme, better WR and RB, better defense etc. The proof is in the pudding. Locker will have to improve his completion % and TD:INT ratio and the Titans have to WIN or he still won't get any respect.

I'm not ashamed to say I'll have to see it to believe it that Locker is a good NFL QB. Good guy- yes, I'll give him that. But he hasn't won games for us. I think the comparisons to McNair are ridiculous PR fodder at this point. His athleticism isn't going to do a whole lot for us. He gets injured with the big hits like most all QB's do. McNair was built like a tank, Big Ben same way. Locker is nothing like that. I think at best Locker can be a Dilfer game manager, good character guy, maybe a few Favre-like flashes but never a consistent threat that opposing D's have to focus against.

I'm also not in the camp that believes the Titans W-L this year will be so heavily dependent on Locker. It's more on Loggains to put the offense in position to maximize on our personnel's strengths and minimize our weaknesses. Anybody that thinks Locker's arm is going "magically" get more accurate this year is foolish. We've seen how accurate he is going to be already. Jaws is right about Locker getting goofy with his footing and his arm, especially while on the run. The tape doesn't lie. And he threw MANY picks while on the run under Palmer's scheme.

I just haven't seen anything that says Locker will be QB'ing the Titans past his rookie contract. If he doesn't win some games for us and his TD:INT ratio doesn't improve, I agree with those that say we'll be seeing Fitzpatrick before the end of the year.

He's not really being fair here, however. Locker is susceptible to getting sacked on blitzes, but he is also one of the most effective QB's against the blitz according to PFF. He's even more effective than Luck. Where Locker falls apart is when the line breaks down.

If VY was our qb for the last 2 years we would have most likely made the playoffs! We would def make it this year with VY but I believe we can make it with Jake this year too!

Locker is listed at 6'3 234 which is identical in size to what Mcnair was.

And Mcnair was not the ultimate durable QB either. Mcnair was over the hill at age 32. Mcnair was not the workout warrior that Eddie George was and of he was he could have had a better career.

For Locker the issue would be to not take as many big hits and to be able to play when less than 100%. The jury is still out on those things. One bad hit and a shoulder injury should not stamp him as brittle or injury prone.

Locker started 24 games his last 2 years at Washington playing a very reckless aggressive style of football. Not sliding when he ran the ball and feeling like he had to do everything for his team to win. Hardly injury prone then.

I would not trade Locker right now straight up for Dalton. Dalton is already what he will ever be a mediocre short to mid range thrower with modest mobility. Even with an elite Wr Dalton can't crack a 7.0 yards per attempt.

Jake has massive upside with a big arm and the ability to do things with his legs.

I know i'm cherry picking with his best game but that Saints game was orgasmic for titans fans. Jake looked like Mcnair circa 2003 making big throws in the seams. You can't coach that.
