Sounds like upstate New York in general until you cross the border.

This is what it feels like crossing the border into Canada from upstate New York.

I think there is a real possibility Locker clearly isn't working and we move to Fitzpatrick early in the season as a starter (which I am fully aware in the minority on this).

Maybe the answer is to not call a passing play in the 4th quarter in a close game or with a lead if Fitz becomes starter.

The guy may have terrible timing at crucial moments, but he can make plays.

    Slow down there killer.

I've rewatched fitz from last year. Dude can play.

Maybe this isn't a popular view... But we are going to be trying to mimic the New York jets run first offense that got them into back to back championship games... With Mark f'n Sanchez.

It's possible and we have more offensive talent than those teams did. The thing that really held those teams from going further? The qb wasn't trusted to play big ball... However he was good enough to hand off, hit the flats and not turn it over. Locker can most definitely do this, and fitz can probably run a cleaner offense than him to be honest. Unless locker can outball fitz by proving he can play big boy ball, I wouldn't doubt Fitz taking over sometime this season.

Regardless... Run first offense. Shorter, higher percentage throws, timing routes. Little more west coast style. Hard nosed defense. Attacking, blitzing and angry... That's exactly what the NYJs team had. It can work.

Hopefully Loggains is a bit more creative with some of the newer trends in the league such as the pistol. He can tap Fitzs knowledge as well as walkers to help add that into the scheme for locker and the running game. To me those additions to the team were for the players as well as their knowledge on the pistol formation.

I agree that with a better defense and if things went a bit differently then Fitz would definitely still be there because he can play its just that the defense was crappy and the team wasn't winning so Fitz became the fall guy and the one who was scapegoat.Just looked at his stats he was definitely a bit of a gunslinger throwing 24 TD passes in 2010,24 TD passes in 2011 and 24 TD passes in 2012 so he was doing his best averaging of course 24 TD passes a year and around 16 INT a year but most of those INT were when they were desperate and playing catch up after falling behind due to a bad defense. So really his stats aren't that bad at all and had the Bills had a better defense chances are some of those INT would be cut down plus he would still be there. All in all i think we have a pretty damn good backup. There are quite a few fans who are already in the belief that we would be better off playing Fitz instead of Locker but hopefully Locker has a breakout year and we win some games.

No matter who we have as our starter we've gotta have a good backup. We don't want to have another year where we're hitting on all cylinders but don't have enough at the QB position. If we have an injury late in the season or in the playoffs we've gotta have someone who can win us a game or two.

I'm hoping Locker breaks out too but I definitely hope Fitz impresses if he's out there too. Hopefully they push each other.

Ryan Fitzpatrick sucks. He has one or two good games a year that really pad his stats. The only reason he remained the starter for as long as he did was the amount of money the team invested in him during his month of insanity before the deal. Had they waited a month to let things play out they would have been in the market for a QB a long time ago, but that's why they're the Bills.

    September: 65% 9 TDs 3 INTs
    Signs new deal
    October: 71% 5 TDs 7 INTs
    November: 57.7% 5TDs 7 INTs
    December: 55.7% 3 TDs 5 INTs
    January: 63% 2 TDs 4 INTs

Just go watch him play a bit. He's not nearly as bad as you make him. I was iffy on him as well. However after watching him throw, hit the target, I thought it was a decent backup. I'm not saying he's the saving grace. I'm saying in the right offense, he can win us games. As well as locker. Yes, I hope locker takes the team with full force and wins us games. However, I don't doubt fitz either. He can win us some games. He's better than Sanchez.

I can name 35 QBs in the NFL better than Mark Sanchez and they would all win games with the defenses he was playing with. We're probably not going to have a defense of that caliber. I mean, it's hard to top Revis, Cromartie, Kris Jenkins, Bart Scott, David Harris and Calvin Pace.

Will the defense be improved? I don't think we can be any worse than giving up a franchise record amount of points last year, but I don't think it will be top-five either.
