Not sure what to make of it. Perhaps whiffin may be depth behind Verner at safety. Just a thought.

Thats because you dont watch all the plays.

Last year was McCourty's worst year since his rookie year, I can admit that much, but he's still your best CB to match up on teams No.1 WR's

yeah- maybe. I just don't know. I want to see him play in person in TC before I make a judgement. He certainly didn't stand out much in games last year IMO (except for a road grader block he laid).

I don't know how people can get worked up over him when I haven't seen much if anything that promising from him. The IDEA of him being great, yes- the REALITY of him being great- I'll have to see it to believe it.

His biggest problem right now is he's still seeing things for the first time as a TE. Too much thinking is taking place, and unfortunately for him football is 60% mental, 50% physical.

I love how he lays into defenders though, guy is big and athletic, so I get why coaches gambled a pick on him, but I'd personally prefer we get NFL ready players to play for us than to have a bunch of these project guys.

Coaches like to see their work come together, so thats why we have Solomon, and Thompson, and other guys change positions, coaches always think they know something no one else does so they believe in themselves maybe a little too much.

Instead of signing a proven player like Kevin Boss we're over here diddling with Taylor Thompson because some coach believes he might be better than Boss down the road say in 2 years. Well that may not be the case cause truthfully Thompson has a ways to go before he understands the game from the TE point of view.

Honestly. We dont have a guy to match up on other guys #1 WR's. Thats why we normally just keep our CB's to the side they are comfortable with.

In a perfect world J-Mac is your No.2 CB, but we're the Titans so he's our No.1 guy

Him and Cortland were a formidable duo.

I like TT..whats wrong with trying to develop him into a possible freak of nature at the TE position..
We have solid TE's to rely on while we develop him. I couldn't be happier with walker, stevens, and doyle...

Glad to know i'm not all alone on the Taylor Thompson bandwagon. Will be funny to watch people try to climb on when Taylor has some success.

You can always stand to upgrade your personnel and if you can, you should. And as of this very moment, we could upgrade our TE position by having someone better than Thompson in there.

But for the reasons I've already mentioned before, we're gonna ride this project out, even if we probably shouldn't.

Don't get me wrong, I like Thompson, I think he can eventually be something, but while he's still playing catch up, the other 10 TE's from his draft class are running off adding to what they already know.

But because of where we took Thompson in that draft, we're okay sticking by him, none of the TE's taken after have done much either, and the thinking seems to be, if we can get him the reps he'll develop sooner rather than later because he's a bright kid.
