Personally, I think Bud would keep Munch for his final season if they are competitive for 16 games and end up with 8+ wins this season.

Many will say 8-8 is the same Fisher mediocrity that got him ran out-of-town but, IMO, a .500 Titans team who eliminates the blowout losses we saw last year will be on the cusp of taking the next step to a playoff run. It'll mean Locker makes major strides in '13 and is poised to take his game to the next level in '14.

8-8 would be stomach able if most of those losses were close games, with no blowouts. That said, that extra win to 9-7 would make a big difference and put us in the WC hunt.

For me, I think success will be if we're playing for a playoff spot in week 17. If we're already eliminated going into our final game, then they didn't get the job done. Doesn't mean Munch should be fired necessarily, but that's what I want out of this season.

To me the only Eagle on the hot seat is Michael Vick. Everyone else including the coach is safe.

The Eagles are changing a lot on defense. It will be a hard year for them.

I agree that they are 'safe', but the article was talking about 'pressure'. I think Kelly (and rest of the staff) will feel the pressure from media and fans to perform well right away.

It seems the opinion on Kelly us split. People either think he is a genius or think that his system will fail in the NFL. He was also a pretty sought after coach this offseason, and with the recent success of new coaches I think his supporters will expect a lot right away, and his doubters will be very quick to say 'I told you so' if he starts losing.

I would consider that quite a bit of pressure.

As far as 'hot seat' I would agree that Vick is the only one. Maybe. Foles if Barkley plays well

Eagles fans these days are beaten down, they're certainly anxious to turn things around, but I tend to believe they'll put up with a slow start so long as they're heading in the right direction.

But if Vick is less than good, he's gonna get benched and everyone else will have a long leash to play with.

I am very skeptical of Kelly though it is not his system. It it more his lack of experience coaching at a high level.
    1. He has no NFL experience whatsoever -- either playing or coaching
    2. He was HC at Oregon for 4 years. Which was his first HC job
    3. Prior to HC he was OC at Oregon for 2 years
    4. Prior to Oregon he was OC and a positional assistant at FCS New Hampshire
    5. Prior to New Hampshire he was a positional assistant at schools like Columbia (FCS non-scholarship) and John Hopkins (Division III)
There you have it. 6 years at a top college program before going to the NFL.

that is true. I just think that Kelly/Vick and the eagles will be under the ESPN/media microscope.

Its kinda the same reason as why I listed the Saints on my list. I don't think Payton or Brees are on the hotseat by anymeans, but I do think they will be under a lot of pressure to perform given what transpired this past year or so, just because the media will be breathing down their necks all year.
