LOL, goes together so well. Kinda like how Nirvana and Rick Astley go together.

The Lost Battalion - staring Ricky Schroeder and yeah its a good one.
    Black Hawk Down
    Downfall
The Enemy Below - classic in every sense
The Great Escape - holds up well
The Hill - a lot of people have never heard of this Sean Connery black and white film
Kelly's Heroes - war comedy, but a good one
    M*A*S*H
    Sergeant York
Starship Troopers - the first movie anyways
Victory - The Stallone POW soccer epic - EPIC I say

    just some good ones

Everyone should see The Enemy Below and The Hill

Agreed. Probably one of the most under rated movies I've ever seen. Only because it was made for TV though.

Das Boot is another classic, even though its about a German U-Boat crew, still a good film. Have a **** load of pop corn ready though, its 5 hours long. Shows the war from their point of view, not a bunch of crazed Nazis, just Sailors doing their duty.

Platoon was great. Good actors, good cast and a pretty good overall plot to the movie.

Hurt Locker was a good one about the Iraq war, but kind of lost me when Jeremy Renner's character was out going Rambo on the streets looking for that kids killers.

Glory is a great civil war movie, historically accurate as well. A good cast as well.

Letters from Iwo Jima and Flags of our Fathers were both pretty good movies about WWII. I liked seeing the battle from both sides of it. Although reading the Japanese sub tittles in Letters from Iwo Jima was kind of a pain in the ass.

I can't believe that none of you have mentioned my favorite war movie. You can't go wrong with Deniro and Walken very young in their careers along with Meryl Streep.

The Deer Hunter = Fking amazing movie

Hurt Locker - One of my favorites

Zero Dark Thirty - accuracy in question but feels like a pretty good interpretation of our intelligence agency's war on terror.

    Stop Loss - highly underrated

    Jarhead - pretty underrated

Hotel Rwanda, yes is a war movie, yes there will be tears

    Generation Kill - must watch

    The Kingdom - good/controversial

Restrepo - serious feels, onions cutting everywhere

Band of Brothers/The Pacific/Saving Private Ryan

Black Hawk Down and Behind Enemy Lines not great movies but they brought at needed attention to the subject matter of both.

    Hurt Locker sucked BALLS

XO I was just about to make a post saying if you like Hurt Locker you probably like pieces of garbage such as Jarhead and Stop Loss.

All 3 are very overrated pieces of trash designed to bring in money and not provide much of anything. Those movies are the 'Call of Duty' of cinema.
