When your as bad on defense as we were last year, just managing the game by not taking risks is no way to win a game! You need to be agressive instead of so willing to check down or throw it away b/c your afraid of taking a sack.

But that's also misleading. The reason Luck passed more was because he WAS the Colts offense. Remember who the Colts's RB was last season? Me neither. That offense was stripped after 2011. Only Wayne remained.

Per game, Luck avg 273 yards to Locker's 198. Luck was asked to do more and he was more productive. If you want to only look at completion % as the gauge of measuring QBs, Gabbert is your man because he did better then both.

Thing is, there are a lot of factors we need to look at to gauge who had the better season and, yes, total yards is one of them and it ain't even close.

Again, one factor of many. BTW, VY? Three of his game-winning drives (12 in total according to ProFootballReference as a Titan in four seasons) happened with his passer rating lower than both Locker and Luck's this past season.

And he also had Titans hanging all over him all game long because he had a horrible OL and found a way to win. You keep saying I can't use this stat or that stat to prove my point but you only take completion % and avg yards per reception as your gauge.

Again, you have to watch the games. You have to consider all stats. When you do, Luck outperformed Locker by a wide margin.

If you believe in the ESPN Total QB Rating, Luck ended up 11th to Locker's 24th. Not a perfect stat but better than focusing in on one or two to prove a point.

Locker was lost. He wasn't as accurate. He didn't make decisions fast enough. Sure, there are a lot of factors involved but putting it all on bad play-calling is just diverting blame.

Yes, Luck was better and you can't judge based on play-to-play. Teams don't win divisions on one play, one series, one quarter or one game. To base an opinion on one or two stats doesn't tell the entire story.

Finally, we can agree. Locker must improve. Luck wasn't great. But would you trade the two if you could? I'd do it in a heartbeat and never look back.

And it's total speculation as to whether Luck makes the Titans better than 6-10 last season. I think we'd beaten the Colts twice if Locker had been their QB because he was a difference-maker in those games.

The media's love for Luck is no different than what RG3, Kaepernick and Wilson got. None were supposed to be this good as rookies and all made significant impacts on their teams. The year before, it was all Cam and Dalton. The talking heads will always focus on successful young QBs.

I hope Locker finds himself in such a spotlight this season.

Are you trying to say that Jake Locker doesn't take enough risks?

Hey don't sleep on Vick Ballard and Donald Brown, theyre comparable backs, they'll burn you, and they both burned us last year.

Thats because you'll never go broke taking a profit.

Jake's biggest criticism is he tries to do too much.

Yeah you do go broke taking a profit when its 3rd down and you settle too often for something that will make you be like 2 yards shy of a first down. The defense baits you by giving you this profit. If they make a tackle then most of the time you wind up a yard or two short. Too many times on third down jake was willing to do that or just run out of bounds or throw it away instead of trying to make a play with his feet!

With as bad as our defense was last year we cant afford to just be content with punting the ball 70 percent of the time on third down! You have to try and make something happen kind of like what big ben does all the time. Yes he takes a lot of sacks, but he also makes a lot of big plays at big moments in the game!

Youre waaay mistaken if you think he scampers out of bounds more than he gets the 1st down on 3rd downs, Ive watched several games over this past week and thats certainly one thing he excels at.

As for it being a mistake to take 4-yards when there's nothing there, okay I guess, IDK how to explain 4 is more than 0 to you.
