    For what possible reason?

His high salary and rumors that the team was unhappy with the effort he gave on the field and behind the scenes down the stretch last season. And the fact that they already tried to get rid of him once, obviously.

I don't have any strong evidence, obviously. It's as much a hunch as anything else. I just don't think they want him blocking Wright and Hunter from playing time. If his attitude is a problem, he has to go.

If Justin Hunter averaged these numbers for the next 10 years would you consider him a success and a good pick? I think so.

    52 catches
    756 yards
    6-7 Tds
    16 ypc average

That's what Washington has given us.

Washington is not old for his position, he is consistent and can play outside or in the slot. A good team player and solidly productive. WTf more do you want? A good mentor for Hunter.

It's not like he makes $10M a year he makes half that much.

His effort may have had something to do with how bad our team was. In the past he has been a great team player.

As far as "getting rid of him" they obviously had a threshold for what they would take for him. probably wanted a 3rd or 4th rd pick but was offered a 5th or a 6th and balked.

If we started dumping every WR with an attitude we would have little talent left. Britt and Hawkins would be gone.

I never said I agree with the logic, RT. I want Washington on the team. I'm just predicting what I think will happen.

Cutting Washington would be moronic. We're just starting to solidify our receiving corps. To cut our most consistently productive player would be real stupid. My only concern is that it sounds like we wanna pound the rock so we won't be using too many 4WR sets and IMO Nate will be our 4th best receiver this year. Of course this is contingent on Kendall developing how I think he will and Hunter being as good as we all think he will be. Sadly, I don't see Nate being re-signed when his contract is up.

in 2014, Wright and Hunter will be the last men standing. you'll see a few new faces along side them. Be glad we got Hunter, cause Wright cant do it all.

We need to hold onto Washington. If for nothing else, to mentor our young receivers. Do we really want them learning from Britt?
