I don't know. Why don't you ask Larry Allen and the Cowboys how a great o-line can pave the way for a long stretch of wining teams.

And Dan Marino, arguably the best QB ever, played in only 1 Super Bowl and lost. By that logic, QB is not an important positon.....

Well, there is a drop off. However, it is not as noticable. Can you coach a Larry Warford to be a quality starter at OG. Absolutely, especially if you have a hall of fame OG as your O Line coach. There is a reason why OGs are usually not drafted in the first half of Rd #1, because there is no significant drop off between 1st Rd and 2nd Rd talent for OGs. Now, Munchak knows that, so he must believe that Warmack is really special. And if he is that piece missing to turn our O Line from crap to excellent, then I am all for it.

How is there not a wealth of talented guys in the 2nd now? Your logic makes ZERO sense. You're just pissed they didn't take the player you wanted and you're throwing a fit. In the real world, it was fantastic pick at a position of REAL need. We have 2 solid starring starting corners already and we have starters at DE and DT already. Sure we need depth at those positions, but they aren't as large of a need as Guard is. And there wasn't a DE worth taking anyways.

When was the last time a G was rated the HIGHEST among all players in the draft?

You are acting like this is a normal draft class and Warmack is your average guard. Neither is the case here

Ask Shaun Alexander about the importance of an impact guard.

    2005 - 1880 yards 27 TDs 5.1 YPC
    Hutchinson leaves for the Vikings
    2006 - 896 yards 7 TDs 3.6 YPC
while Chester Taylor had a career high 1216 yards running behind Hutchinson..

This from the guy who said Cam Newton would be a total bust and that Earl Thomas would suck.

Your disapproval of this pick makes it all the sweeter.
