I look at it like this ... Most contenders seem to be good at a lot, but ELITE at one thing. Last year the Titans weren't elite at anything (or even good at most things), but the one area where we can make drastic changes from last year to this, and potentially become elite, is in the running game. We have a dynamic play maker in CJ, and now we have the 'short yardage' guy in Green. The only thing keeping us from being an elite running team is the OL, specifically G. We fixed 1/2 of the problem signing Levitre, if we fix the other 1/2, then I think we can be an elite running team.

And having an elite OL/running game has far reaching affects, that matter even more when you have a young QB. It will:

    - Take pressure off the QB by putting him in manageable situations and giving him more time

    - Take pressure of the D by giving them more favorable field position and TOP

Basically it helps out the whole team ... so if you have an opportunity to take a guy that can help out the entire team, then you do it. I don't care where you pick at. On the flipside you can try to take a risky DE that might end up a bust and not help the team at all.

Good points. I wont be mad if we go OL at 10. I just don't see how we justify passing on a top defensive prospect if one (or more) falls right in our lap. And we have to remember that adding Levitre and Warmack/Cooper is no guarantee that we'll have an "elite" run game. We definitely should be better. But we have quite a gap to bridge from where we were last year to "elite".

Good points but you don't have to go Guard in the 1st to have a good line. We have good 4 OL starting for us right now, it's okay to take a guy in the 2/3 and let him compete with the guys we already have. Also like you said we're not good at many things so I would hope we would patch up some other positions and something tells me with Williams now here we're going to get guys that fit his system. I rather go defense in the 1st and get a guy like Mingo, Floyd, or Rhodes then finish up the OL in the 2/3.

How many of us though he was crazy last year when he had us taking Wright?! I would have bet my left arm on us drafting DL.

    …turns out he was (w)right!
