Sounds like a Bruce Matthews type of OL that can play anywhere on the line. How soon would we have to take him to make him a Titan? Will he still be around in the 3rd or would we have to take him in the 2nd?

Dude has played well at T, G and C. Is tough as can be and is also a really bright guy. Also a Tennessee kid. How can we not take this guy.

Jones started all 14 games for Alabama's 2009 national championship team at right guard.

In his junior season, because of team needs, he switched from guard to left tackle where he started all 13 games for another Alabama national championship team.

In his senior year, again because of team needs, he switched from tackle to center. He started every game at center for the team that won another National Championship in 2012.

He is the only person to win an Outland and a Remington at two different positions or in two different years.

Barrett Jones wants to play Center, he's on record saying that, so what are we drafting him as, Center or Guard?

Considering we just signed Velasco to a one year deal then I'd be ok with taking him as C knowing that he could play anywhere on the line if we needed him to. I know he says he wants be play center but seeing that he's a real team guy I could see him plugging in where ever.

I just see a lot Bruce in this guy. He could be a stud OL for us for the next 10 years. Hard for me to pass on that.

Barrett Jones is a much much better center than Velasco. If we're picking Jones he should play Center and have Velasco battle it out with those other FA Guards we picked up.

How do you know he's a much better center than Velasco?

I would take Barrett Jones in a heartbeat with our 1st 3rd rounder. He's falling due to injury, but is a late 1st/early 2nd talent. Take him in the 3rd, regardless of if we take an OG 1st or 2nd.

I forsee Barrett starting on the PUP list. Velasco plays another year, than Mr. Jones takes over starting center Year 2.

Levitre mentioned that playing for 2 HOF OL played a significant part in his wanting to come here, aside from the money. I can only assume that would be a dream come true for an OL that would be drafted by us. I think that Jones could be one of the best with Munchak and Matthews passing along their knowledge.

But Jones already knows so much, we need what can't be taught, power and size.

I'd go with a Guard before the 3rd, if Jones is there in the 3rd, take him too. We'd be set.
