As rough as things were for the offense last season the team responded by bringing in the top offensive lineman in free agency.

So there is no real playmaker on offense besides Chris Johnson at RB so there is an opportunity at #10 to take a WR they might choose Patterson or Austin which would

If they choose one with their second round pick it could be Justin Hunter,Keenan Allen,Robert Woods or Deandre Hopkins.

Their are much better options in later rounds of the draft to snag a receiver instead at 10.

Give me Ryan Swope or Markus Wheaton

Or half a dozen other guys. WR at 10 is just plain stupid.

The track record doesn't look good for USC receivers

    Danmien Williams
    Patrick Turner
    Dwyane Jarrett
    Steve Smith
    Mike Williams
    Keary Colbert
    R. Jay Soward

All guys take from rounds 1-3 you never want to draft Qb's and Wr's from USC

I hate to come down on your opinion, but I think you are way off base.

We have the horses on offense to be really, really good if we could open up some running lanes and protect Locker.

Britt is uncoverable when healthy, obviously it remains to be seen if he is indeed healthy, but he can be a beast as we've seen. Washington is a good number 2 and still can burn. Wright has tons of potential, I really think he's going to break out this year, surely he'll have more confidence in year two. CJ can be unstoppable, provided he get's some good blocking and a head of steam. TE wise, Walker is going to be a match-up weapon, playing H-back, and lining up all over the field. Thompson has potential and Stevens is a solid blocker.

I still think we could pick up a TE and WR in the middle rounds to provide depth, but we have got to make this offensive line the best in the league if we really want to see success. Let me put it to you this way; to me the two best offensive lines in the league are San Francisco and Seattle and look what they achieved.

As pointed out, playing Watt twice a year we have to to shore up the entire O-line especially right guard. But most importantly we have to have some quality depth in case, like last season, we get a rash of injures across the O-line.

It doesn't matter how many weapons you have on offense if your OL is trash. Adding Levitre was a HUGE upgrade, but we still need help on the OL. I say bring in a sure fire pick at G, that will turn our OL into one of the best in the league. We have enough weapons on O right now anyway. CJ will be a top 3 back behind a good OL. Nate and Wright are 2 very good WRs and if Britt can get healthy who knows what he can do.

I would also like to see what locker can do when given time and is able to get into a rhythm.

I would look to WR in round 2 possibly, but not any earlier

If Jake Locker can't get by with Kenny Britt, Nate Washington, and Kendall Wright as his top 3 receivers then we just need to admit to ourselves that he probably isn't a franchise QB. I've already come to terms with that possibility. Of course whether or not Kenny Britt is even available week to week is another story. But still, we have much bigger needs.

As I've said before, I won't be super upset if we go WR at 10. But I'd much rather have DE, DT, OG, or CB. If there were an AJ Green or Julio Jones type in this draft then I'd feel differently. But Patterson has a ton of question marks and Austin is a 5'9 170lb slot receiver. Both are huge risks at 10 IMO.
